"The hotel is good for the beach, although it doesn't own the entire beach. It's more of a theme pool than a real sea, and the natural sea is very rough. The facilities are good, as is the shopping center, but access to restaurants is limited, and there aren't many attractions. The cleanliness is excellent."

"I'll start with the two positive points: the quality of the meals and the cleanliness. I'll continue with all the negative points: Reception: you have to be Dutch to get a good welcome, limited number of deckchairs at the pool (35, I counted them) for a huge complex! Room: with a visit every 3 days to replace the 2 bath towels. At the beach: not enough deckchairs. And in the end, I booked a car for 3 days and received an old, worn-out car for which I paid the full price. My remarks didn't please the reception! I called the TUI hostess to fix this. In short, a horrible stay and a hotel that I do not recommend!!! It is not worth the price paid and is largely overrated by TUI!!! For me, a 3 star and it's well paid. I have a lot of travel experience! GR and MM"

"Perfect in every way! The setting is a peaceful oasis set back from the bustle of Jan Theil. The house itself and our room were beautiful and comfortable. Loeki (our host) put the experience over the top. She was knowledgeable, helpful, supportive and fun to be around. Her daily homemade breakfasts were some of the best meals we had in Curacao. Can't recommend Plantation Jan Theil Lodge highly enough."
