Hotel Karae ★★★
"Room: alright bed and pillow. fairly spacious. lockable box. Bathroom: female dormitory has a shower and two sinks and I think two toilets, which is fine for a dormitory of 8. all clean and working. body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and towels supplied. decent hairdryer. . Security: pin on hotel entrance and dormitory room . Amenities: . Location: really close to the train station but not noisy (or maybe that's just coz it was rainy when I went)."
Mercure Saga Karatsu Resort ★★★★
"Room is spacious and the river view from our room is very nice. However, the toilet is small. The breakfast buffet has a very good spread, and overall quality was good. There are also free drinks and snacks at a spacious lounge for customers at various times of the day. Parking is on the hotel ground and free."
Hotel R9 the Yard Karatsu ★★★
"This R9 is very clean and well maintained, however the room 25 needs a chair repair, I felt it was going to snap"
Queendom Karatsu Hotel ★★★
"It's very clean and right in front of a convenience store."
Karatsu Daiichi Hotel Riviere ★★★
"If you speak English well, it will be very convenient, as there are many English instructions. However, the front desk staff's English is generally not good, and check-in is done via self-service in English. If you mind, you can ask them. The day before, I stayed at the Mercure across the street, but the sea view wasn't as good as this one's river view (including Karatsu Castle view), which is very beautiful. There's also a light show at night, and there's a small public bath on the first floor—so relaxing! Excellent value for money! The room was cozy and had everything you needed. Interestingly, the refrigerator was also self-service (English instructions included). I only stayed one night, so I didn't have to worry about room cleaning. It seems this hotel cleans every three days, and you can leave your trash in the hallway, which is common in many Japanese hotels. There are fast food restaurants nearby, and the JR station is within walking distance. The river is right outside, a great place for a stroll. The hotel information mentions (paid) bicycle rentals, but I didn't inquire about the details. There are many self-service items in the lobby, and there are English signs indicating free coffee in the morning, but I didn't take advantage of it because I checked out early."
Karatsu Seaside Hotel ★★★★
"The sea view was beautiful. The food quality was high 😋. I could see the sun rising from behind the small mountains. It's a shame I stayed in the west wing; I could only have breakfast in the east wing and couldn't use the east wing's hot springs and other facilities (which seemed newer and nicer)."
OnoueRyokan ★★
"The ocean view was amazing. The food was delicious!"
Kokuminshukusha Hadomisaki ★★★
"I'm glad that the front desk was polite and thorough in explaining the situation. However, what about the response from the person who was probably in charge of the dinner venue? It was Mark. Do you have all-you-can-drink options during the reservation stage, confirmation call, check-in, and before going out for a walk? I heard that. I heard that it would cost this much, but when I went there, the person who seemed to be in charge wasn't there, it was just the guests of the banquet. That's what I was told. Isn't that strange since you've checked it so many times? When I asked her, she disappeared and I had to wait. Who said that? They looked for the culprit, but he disappeared again, and they said they couldn't confirm because he had gone home. I felt the worst. Isn't it strange that the story is different? In the end, we got all-you-can-drink, but the menu was different from what I had heard. It seems that no matter how many times I check it, there is a difference. I'm worried that the front desk staff and the person answering the phone will have a bad experience afterwards. I apologize to the person who seems to be in charge. I was told this, but I felt the worst. The other staff members were very responsive, so I enjoyed my meal. The staff member was really sorry when I left. He said. The staff were really nice."
Asuka Hotel ★★
"When I go back at night, it's scary because there are almost no street lights, but it's a long enough walk from the station! There is a supermarket nearby and restaurants are just a short walk away!"

Riverside Hotel Karatsu Castle
"The hotel offers free parking, and the Japanese breakfast is delicious. Karatsu Castle is nearby, and you can also visit the former Karatsu Bank site and Karatsu Shrine. The rooms are lakeside with beautiful views, making it a worthwhile stay."
Yoyokaku
"This is my first stay at Ryokan and it was perfect. Personnel' English is not perfect but it's enough. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and healthy and the portions were big; the Ryokan building and its garden were peaceful and beautiful. I'll be happy to visit this place again later!"
Nagisakan Kimura Karatsu Chaya
"Very good sashimi and meals. Very friendly ryokan. Will highly recommend to friends."
Tabiyado Yobuko
"Staying in a hot spring hotel with two meals, there is a language barrier, but the waiters are very kind and sincere and keep smiling. The dinner is squid sashimi and tempura, which are very delicious and there are a lot of them. The breakfast is Japanese style, both are very good. eat. Worth recommending."
Taiboukaku
"Nice service Clean room Good breakfast"
Grand Base Karatsu Ekiminami
"The access from Karatsu Station was excellent. The room was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable stay. The only downside was the pink mold throughout the bathroom. Please ensure thorough cleaning."
Ryokan Oomasa
"The Japanese-style room was spacious and comfortable, but the hotel didn't have an elevator, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs. Fortunately, the staff were very helpful. Dinner was plentiful and the ingredients were fresh – highly recommended!"
The Trailerhouse Village Yobuko Seaside
"The front desk staff didn't speak English. I had ordered a BBQ dinner, but when I checked in, they said they wouldn't provide it and that we should go to the supermarket to buy ingredients and come back. Luckily, I found that food had been prepared in the room, but the staff didn't know the details. I showed him the printed Japanese order, but he still said they didn't have it. It was already very late, and I had been driving all day. This misunderstanding was really upsetting!"
