"Hornbill Lodge is a lovely intimate place to spend a few days. The grounds are beautiful with views of the lake and several gorgeous birds. The food was very good, the chef was able to accommodate my pescatarian diet with really tasty dishes. Sunny, the owner/operator was wonderful to work with a very helpful in guiding us through our time in Kariba. If you are lucky enough to meet her dogs, they are also a real treat :) The rooms are lovely with great shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and insect repellent. The bed was very comfy and the veranda was equipped with a mosquito repellent coil! We will be sure to be back the next time we are in town."

"Caribbea Bay is truly a beautiful escape. The views of Lake Kariba are stunning and so calming. It’s the kind of place where you can genuinely relax and take in nature. The hotel’s aesthetics are very pleasing and create such a serene atmosphere. You can create so much content at the hotel itself . And how beautiful it is when the sun starts setting wow ✨ The staff were warm and welcoming, which made the stay even more comfortable. The only area that could use a little improvement is the menu. While the food was okay, it felt quite basic compared to the overall experience and setting of the resort. With a more elevated dining experience, this place would easily be a 5/5. Overall, it’s a lovely destination for the views and ambiance and with a few tweaks to the menu, it would be exceptional."

"Sanny was very welcoming and explained all the facilities available. Our beautiful room with its huge king size bed, fitted with mosquito net was really comfortable. Room also has a ceiling fan and A/C. The socket outlets are incredible. You must come from Mars if you are unable to use these as they are adaptable to any plug. Huge showers. Beautiful views over Lake Kariba. The meals are delicious and staff super friendly. Highly recommended."
