"What a wonderful place to stay. With friends or family, you have all kinds of amenities to feel like home. Very clean with comfortable beds. Paul and Katalina are lovely hosts, easy to Communicate with, waited up for us when we were running late to check in, even made some delicious home made pies for us to share. I couldn’t have asked for better 2 days there. Great location, close to beautiful beaches. There’s a convenience store and gas station. Wonderful place to stay!!!!!!"

"It's not posh, very comfortable and clean. Took our two old dogs for a couple of nights holiday. Lou and Tony (new managers) are warm and inviting. We had a great stay. Our small unit was better than we expected. BBQ area, washing machine, small well stocked shop. The dogs loved staying there just as much as we did. Don't forget bedding for your dogs and the essentials- lead, water bowl and a towel. Just a few steps to the beautiful beach. Really relaxing"

"We stayed in The Pohutukawa Cabin which was great with great views over cattle paddocks to Karkari Beach. It was lovely to sit on the verandah to have our evening meal looking at the scenery. Paul & Katalina were fabulous hosts and Katalina's warm Blueberry Banana Bread with butter was to die for. We were able to have coffee and dinner at Karikari Winery on our first night. The next day we drove to Cape Reinga. Katalina told us to get an icecream at Houhora Honey Bes, Pukenui. It was tasty and refreshing, but they also had homemade pies so we stopped on the way back and purchased Steak & Oyster pies. We can't thank Paul & Katalina enough for their hospitality."
