"This is a hotel I stopped by on my way back from climbing. I was glad to stay, so I chose this hotel with a cheap price, but I was able to get a hot spring with a lot of hot water, a morning buffet with a lot of items, a pick-up and meal service. It is a good hotel with good cost performance. Thank you to the hotel staff."
"This was my second stay at Douyang Pavilion; my first visit was in May last year, and I had a great experience. While the hotel isn't brand new, it's impeccably clean, both inside and out. The open-air onsen is small but exquisitely designed. We didn't book dinner at the hotel, but a yakiniku restaurant nearby was very convenient. The foot bath by the entrance is a unique feature. On a nice day, it's incredibly relaxing to grab a drink, snuggle in a blanket, and enjoy the river view. Sleeping on the tatami mats at night was also very comfortable. The absolute highlight is that you can set off fireworks right outside the hotel. They even sell them, and if you bring your own, you're welcome to use the lighters and buckets provided by the hotel. We only set off sparklers, though, and I'm not sure if larger fireworks are allowed, especially given the extensive grassy areas nearby."
"It was our first time staying with Kangetsuen 觀月苑 as we used to stay at Daiiichi Hotel 豆陽亭. The overall experience with 觀月苑 was excellent. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were welcomed by their staff. The front office people were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean with a panoramic river view. The buffet dinner and the buffet breakfast were exceeded our expectations. The food quality was exceptional. For sure we will return to this hotel for our next visit to Obihiro."
"I booked dinner and breakfast and stayed in a tatami room.
I highly recommend that Koreans try sleeping in a tatami room at least once during the summer.
Although the building itself felt a bit dated due to its age, I experienced no discomfort during my stay.
Perhaps because it was summer, there were few guests, so I was able to enjoy a quiet stay.
It was very hot, but the air conditioning worked well, so I didn't feel the heat too much.
Dinner was served as room service, and both the taste and quality were excellent. However, since we ate in the room, I think we need to be careful with ventilation.
Breakfast was served in a dining-style setting and was a typical Japanese home-cooked meal. Again, the taste and quality were excellent."
"Its accommodation is good, the room is clean and tidy, basically satisfied. There are payment laundry and drying facilities that are very practical. Unfortunately, I came not at the time, and the indoor hot spring facilities and washing places were damaged due to the long-term loss of income. The next pool is functioning normally, but the other side of the indoor pool is a tap water, which means that the water in the pool is just ordinary water. But there is a lot of scale, it seems that no one has cleaned it for a long time, maybe it is remote, or it is already heavily indebted, lacking funds for maintenance. The water quality of the hot springs is very good and has not deteriorated. The employees have no vitality, no prospects, and the days are like a day, as if reflecting the dying and lingering here. It is really worrying about their operating conditions, and it can be seen from the details that their actual service operators have worked hard to maintain it. The only way out is to wait for the hotel group to buy it, and then have the opportunity to continue to operate, otherwise this spring of excellent quality will return to nature. I hope to see them in business next time."
"I stayed here on my way back from hiking.
I stayed here two years ago and really liked it, so I visited again.
The building is quite old, but clean and comfortable.
The cleaning was thorough.
I was surprised to see no dust even on the sliding door railings.
The room is 10 tatami mats large enough for one person, and there is ample space around the veranda and entrance, and the toilet is also spacious.
The towel racks are easy to use, with small features such as the ability to hang two bath towels and two regular towels at a time.
The bathroom in the room is also relatively spacious, making it convenient for washing off sweat and mud from hiking.
The large public bath (for men) is simply equipped with one indoor and one outdoor bath, but the spectacular view overlooking Lake Shikaribetsu changes with the time of day, so you'll never get bored no matter how many times you soak.
The hot spring water is rich in iron, so it's warming.
There is limited parking on the premises, but there is ample space behind the building across the road.
Even on cold and rainy days, staff will wait outside to guide you.
The food is average.
It is common for many employees to be from foreign countries, but they are well-trained."
"The room is small but very clean including the bathroom.
Breakfast Kamishihoro milk is very delicious!
There were also hot springs, mist sauna, and sauna that could get bathing tickets, so it was warmed up very comfortably."
"The hotel is pretty big with 3 wings (building) linked together with plenty of car parking lots. The hotel looked dated but well maintained. There’s a shopping gallery @ lobby. Check in/check out is Smooth n fast. A female receptionist can speak mandarin (话语)maybe a Chinese descendent?
There is nothing much to see and eat in the vicinity. It will b good to go for half board (dinner n breakfast), n to use the onsen before n after dinner, n before breakfast. The onsen is pretty big with a few indoor pools n a outdoor pool, all of good hot spring quality. The tatami room is spacious clean n need. There is good choices of food n desserts @ dinner n breakfast.

"I accidentally stayed at the Life Hotel! I like it so much😍It's very quiet, and the facilities and services are great! Suitable for leisure vacation! I only stayed for one night and still felt unsatisfied, and my family has been thinking about it all the time! Dinner and breakfast are also very good👌It is my favorite hotel in Hokkaido this time😍"
"The room is large, but the location is only suitable for self-driving or chartering. It is very suitable for adding breakfast and dinner. The evening is a set menu and the morning is a buffet. It is enough to eat. There are not many Chinese people, only Japanese people who come to hike. Overall 85 points, no problem"
