"We loved our stay at Ydor Hotel. The sea view from the rooms is exceptional, the staff was kind and very attentive, we love the spa and had an amazing massage with a great therapist. The breakfast Buffett and egg and pancakes options were delicious. Only thing that could improve: the coffee (not that it was too bad, but not 5 star quality. We can highly recommend and will definitely come back!"

"This place is stunningly beautiful! It is perfectly located in Vourkari, right next door to the lovely restaurants and bars, and about a 25 minute walk from Korissia (the port of Kea) where there are restaurants, a pharmacy and supermarket. We stayed in the Campanula apartment, which isn't a massive room, but it's beautifully presented. It has a glorious little pool on the terrace, which is shared with just one other apartment. The views from this terrace over the bay are spectacular! There is a small kitchenette in the apartment which enables basic meal prep - you can enjoy dinner on the outside table whilst taking in the stunning sunset. The fridge is very small and only allows for some milk and a couple of other bits, but it's very useful nonetheless. There are quite a few steps leading up to the apartments but these necessitate the gorgeous views over the bay. The manager, Jessica, couldn't be more lovely, helpful and professional. She is always on hand to answer any questions, have a chat or even just provide a bottle of water for your room. There are a few handy parking spaces right outside too, as it's advisable to hire a car or scooter to get around the island which has very few taxis. It really is luxury accomodation and the terrace pool elevates the whole experience. If/when we return to Kea we will definitely stay here again because it was perfect and we loved it!"

"The hotel is an off the beaten path, but is a hidden gem for the right traveler. I came in for a friends wedding, so we had run of the hotel - smaller, boutique hotel with all different types of rooms. I had the Afros Suite right off the pool and it worked perfect for me. Opened my door and had the whole pool as my front patio and when I wanted privacy there was a beautiful patio with chairs and a daybed, overlooking the bay. The room was noise insulated and beds very comfy. Showers were all a little different and not traditional, but if you like unique spaces, you’ll love it. Beautiful, large tiled pool with a 6ft depth at one end! Anna and her team were there from breakfast to bedtime. They are friendly, accommodating and helpful with coffee, cabs, information and our wedding weekend details. The same team every day and they strive to get to know you (I was waiting outside the doors to get a strong cup of Americano coffee early every morning - they open at 9, but snuck me a cup at 8:45 a morning or two). It’s a dirt road up and down the hill, not walkable but cabs are easy to get and I didn’t mind. The views are worth it. Not the type of place to stay if you like brand hotel chains but good if you’re into a little adventure and something different."
