"We arrived early evening. Key was left in apostbos. We got to the room and tv was on, windows open. It smelled musty and a plug in airfreshener was on. Toilets and shower were dirty, hair etc in the showers. Toothpaste left by other users. The door had been knocked in and a piece if plywood replaced the panel kicked out. The kitchen was usable. Outdoor chairs and area very neglected. Overall NOT recommended!"

"Extended my stay again since my work delayed. But was also due to it being a plesant stay here !! The owner of this place was very friendly. was a plesant stay here. Theres peace and quite here at night, maybe part of the keri keri specialty. Enjoyed my stay here with the pool and laundry service provided (chargeable) but convenient to still have. Room was impressive and spacious with good equipment provided and items needed. Bed was really comfy as well.... will surely be back again !!!"

"I don't even know where to start with this amazing place as there is so much to rave about. First of all I was a bit hesitant going down a long driveway into the wilderness with my young son, but as we drove down we saw beautiful rivers and wildlife. When we arrived at reception the manager was so kind, I had made a mistake with my booking and he did everything to rectify my mistake. He took us up to a villa which looked nice from the outside but wow when we walked in I was absolutely amazed. This place was absolutely beautiful, it has a fully equiped kitchen with beautiful cutlery and crockery, it also had two beautiful and comfortable single beds and a stunning loungeroom with a beautiful bathroom and then a big room with a large bed. Topped off with a beautiful balcony where you could hear and see birds everywhere. The place was immaculate. It made me wish I had booked in longer just for the sake of it. We went down to the pool, which was stunning with rocks etc in it and a amazing spa but it didnt end there. There was also a toilet, sheltered seating area, pizza oven and bbq. Like seriously this place was better than 5 star places I had stayed before. Avalon resort should be very proud of what they have created because it is just a magical sanctuary. I will be telling everyone about this tranquil resort if you are looking for somewhere affordable, beautiful and close to town this place is it. Thankyou Avalon resort for a one night stay we absolutely loved. We will be back for sure."

"What can I say, but what a beautiful tranquil place to stay, the most stunning gardens that we did go for a walk around with amazing art work in the gardens, the accommodation was fantastic, private quiet and peaceful, perfect for the two of us, the cottages are well laid out with plenty of room and a nice outdoor spot to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings, the bed was so comfortable, and the cottage had everything you could want while away, our host Tania was lovely to talk to and very accommodating with everything we needed. Kerikeri shopping is so close by, and also the Kerikeri Stone house, we will definitely be going back here to stay."
