"I visited Naturhotel Die Waldruhe with my sisters for a winter break and cannot wait to return with my husband. The property is situated just above the town of Chienes, affording it spectacular views of the mountains in all directions. The hotel is extremely comfortable; modern, cosy and unpretentious. The staff are delightful and the cuisine is exceptionally good. There are numerous, signposted trails suitable for both the ambler and mountain hiker."

"We had a nice stay with the family at hotel Pustertalerhof. Beautiful garden with natural and in-and outdoor swimmingpool. Finnish sauna, garden sauna, steam bad, …. The food was delicious , sweets and soup in the afternoon, cozy bar with friendly staff. Highly recommended, child friendly, charging station for electric vehicules . Interesting region for hiking. Sud-Tirol card for free cable car, train and bus included."

"Not my idea of ​​a mountain vacation. I stayed at the Falkensteiner Lido in August 2025 for four nights. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, the restaurant is good, and the staff is friendly. It's definitely a paradise for children ages 4 and up, with tons of activities and dedicated spaces. That said, there were many downsides for me: the buffet meals were unmanageable with a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old (we never eat with our partner), the pool floor was slippery and dangerous, the shower in the room had no door so water was everywhere, and ice cream was only included in the restaurant but not at the bar. Furthermore, despite it being the end of August, it was too crowded and the atmosphere was far from what I'm looking for in the mountains, which is characterized by silence, nature, and intimacy. In short: a beautiful property, friendly staff, and plenty of amenities, but in my opinion, it's more of a beach resort than a mountain hotel. Very expensive and, in my opinion, not worth the price. I wouldn't go back."

"Wonderful spring holiday vacation in this cozy hotel with gorgeous culinary and extremely welcoming staff. The hotel owner and his family work so hard and are always smiling and friendly to make you really deal like at home. All other staff members are very helpful and kind as well. The sauna and pool world is absolutely amazing equipped with fresh drinks and apples. Returning after the all day long skiiing to this relax zone before great dinner with so much food and served meals makes every day absolutely amazing experience. This is a place where we definitely want to come back to again."

"Booked through an agency, we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 PM and no one took care of our luggage. At reception, a girl who had to serve 4/5 guests alone, therefore long waiting times, disco music for entertainment in the bar room, honestly we didn't understand what she said at check-in.... Good room, we asked if we could have dinner, but they had already closed the service, and I also believe it, especially since we waited our turn for check-in, which took a long time... Breakfast was average for a 4-star Alto Adige, very improvised bar service, beautiful pond even if poorly maintained, leaves, branches, and more... Young, friendly, but inexperienced staff, personally I would not entrust a hotel like this to kids.... Overall, I suggest adding staff who are a little more prepared and with experience in the 4-star sector.... New, well-kept and clean room."
