"A very clean and tidy bed and breakfast with a very polite and friendly host Fred. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms provide a good space to relax and for your luggage. Very warm and cosy in autumn. The breakfast is amazing. So many options! Location is great too as only a 5-10 minute walk to pubs, shops and restaurants and the train station. On site parking is a bonus. A lovely, relaxed place to stay. Highly recommend."

"Can’t fault the staff as they were friendly. The hotel and rooms are clean enough but felt tired and need of a refurb. Bottom of the kettle was burnt out and the towels were thin. Sharing the car park with McDonalds made parking a nightmare especially at dinner time. It was super busy so not ideal if you’re coming back from a day of work and have to wait to get a parking spot. It was also warm at the time of the visit so had to sleep with the windows open, the surrounding roads are busy so be prepared for some road noise. Average at best and okay for the value. It can get a little frustrating if you’re there for multiple days."

"Excellent place to stay - very comfortable, clean room with everything you need in it. The staff were attentive and delivered a number of greatly appreciated little flourishes (the complimentary Tunnocks in the mini-fridge, for example). The breakfast was a particular highlight, freshly cooked to order and delicious, I just wish I had had more time to savour it. The building is very pretty and the location very convenient for the town centre and the station. The price was very reasonable as well."
