"A month at this hotel was a true fairy tale for us! We felt right at home thanks to the incredibly friendly and kind family who took care of us from the very first moment. They were also ready to help with literally everything! When we mentioned that we wanted to cook for ourselves and were looking for accommodation with a kitchen, they simply... built us a kitchen! It was incredible! We couldn't imagine that people could be so responsive. We were often treated to incredibly delicious, generous meals. Breakfasts are a special treat here: always plenty of food, fresh ingredients, and everything is incredibly delicious. You can also rent their bicycles to explore the amazing Sigiriya. It was amazing! Riding along picturesque trails amidst the wild nature was a dream! Even within the hotel grounds, you can feel a connection with nature: colorful birds sing their melodies, squirrels dart through the palm trees, and monitor lizards leisurely wander through the bushes – true harmony with nature. We left with a heavy heart, as this place became our home for a whole month. We recommend it to anyone seeking warm hospitality, comfort, and a connection with nature. Don't hesitate – this hotel is definitely worth your consideration!"

"A very special and very comfortable one night stay! ! ! The room was kept spotless and the facilities were placed just right. When he learned that I was going out to find a restaurant for dinner, Isuru was worried about my safety at night and offered to pick me up by car. Half an hour before the meal ended, he was waiting at the restaurant. (The mom’s kitchen he recommended is the best local restaurant I have eaten in during my more than ten days in Lanka!! The price is also very affordable) Isulu is really serious about running this hotel, and there are gentleman guests. Mr. Aland is helping him."

"Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere so you can’t walk out. Nice pool and restaurant but room, albeit large had a bad sewage smell in the bathroom (room 902). It was reported but didn’t remedy it. The hotel is Ideal for an evening’s relaxing after sightseeing. We’re not impressed with the room service person who was actually hassling us in the evening. Constantly ringing the bell asking if we want water/towels. Well no, we don’t, you’ve already cleaned our room and left water and towels. He came here the last 2 nights and we tipped him. Perhaps we shouldn’t have as he’s now become a nuisance ringing twice tonight on our door despite the first time me telling him we didn’t need anything. He’s now come back and asked can I come in? I told him no and closed the door. Sorry we don’t want to be hassled like this on holiday. We want to relax if we need anything we’ll ask. This has put us off returning here."

"A highly recommended resort hotel! I had been booking hotels before, but I accidentally booked this one. When I checked in, I saw a single-family villa and immediately decided to stay for another night. The room is very large and has a complete range of facilities, making it suitable for family travel. The trees in the hotel are thick and dense, all of which are primitive and naturally grown. Bird-sized butterflies fluttered, birds chirped, and cicadas sang melodiously... Living here, I felt far away from the hustle and bustle. It was great to swim in the afternoon and lie in a hammock. At night, I could see the stars in the sky, which really felt like returning to my childhood. The boss is Chinese and very attentive. Seeing that our companion had gastroenteritis, he specially cooked a pot of porridge for us. The front desk ladies are also very cute and enthusiastic. They actively provide services every day. It is also very convenient to go to the nearby Lion Rock and Dambulla Caves. I will find another opportunity to come next time."

"The eighth wonder resort is a fantastic place to stay right in the heart of Sigiriya. It’s close to Sigiriya rock and Pidurangala. Dambulla is also very close as well as Sigiriya city where there are loads of places to eat and drink. You can also find plenty of places in the city which run safaris into the national parks. Therefore it is an ideal location, we ticked off so many activities and place in just a four day stay because the resort made a great hub. The hotel itself was also beautiful, the room was very clean and the pool was a nice touch at the end of a long day in the sun. The breakfast in the morning was very good, a mix of fruit and cooked food which always set us up well for the day. Mahinda and his wife were very accommodating, friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I would strongly recommend to anyone who is visiting Sigiriya or the surrounding areas. James & Olivia"
