"This is a warm and welcoming family-run inn. The owner greeted us in the morning and evening, and the grandfather and children took care of us at other times. Our room was on the first floor, but the second floor was being renovated during our stay. The room was generally dark, and we noticed some dust and a musty smell. The shower had hot water and drained well. Amenities included bath towels and soap. There was no hairdryer. There was an extra charge to use the air conditioner. It was hot, so we paid for the entire night upfront, but it was the right decision as the air conditioner reduced the musty smell. Breakfast is served at a table in front of the room for two people, and at a larger table in the public area for more than two people. The fruit and coconut sambal were delicious! The garden was beautiful, and we enjoyed the local atmosphere that you don't get at typical hotels. While the cleanliness was a concern, the owner and grandfather were very kind. In Sigiriya, where many hotels are expensive, we were very satisfied with the service at this price. There are many restaurants and shops nearby, and several laundromats within walking distance. There are also places to buy alcohol within walking distance, which was very convenient."

At night, they took me to a nearby rock formation to watch the stars, and we even saw a shooting star together⭐️ The next day, they took me to watch the sunrise in the morning and drove me to Sigiriya. They also took me to a delicious restaurant nearby for lunch, and in the afternoon, they even took me to a nearby lake. Their hospitality was so heartfelt that I'd definitely stay here again if I visit Sigiriya. The rooms were beautiful and the price was reasonable, so I highly recommend it!"

The musty smell was so strong, and the air conditioner was so loud that we had to turn it off to avoid falling asleep. The resort is large and pleasant, but there were mosquitoes. The room didn't have electric mosquito coils, so we didn't dare open the windows for ventilation. We booked a meal-inclusive package, and the breakfast was simple: fruit, juice, omelets, and bread, and the portions were insufficient. The staff were friendly and quiet. "Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere so you can’t walk out. Nice pool and restaurant but room, albeit large had a bad sewage smell in the bathroom (room 902). It was reported but didn’t remedy it. The hotel is Ideal for an evening’s relaxing after sightseeing. We’re not impressed with the room service person who was actually hassling us in the evening. Constantly ringing the bell asking if we want water/towels. Well no, we don’t, you’ve already cleaned our room and left water and towels. He came here the last 2 nights and we tipped him. Perhaps we shouldn’t have as he’s now become a nuisance ringing twice tonight on our door despite the first time me telling him we didn’t need anything. He’s now come back and asked can I come in? I told him no and closed the door. Sorry we don’t want to be hassled like this on holiday. We want to relax if we need anything we’ll ask. This has put us off returning here."
