Good food for dinner, one morning we were offered an excellent western breakfast, so was excited for the next morning but sadly it had changed to a Japanese breakfast probably because the other guests were Japanese. We had been in Japan for a while and was a bit tired of the food !.... Towels are bit thin but they dry quickly. Dont provide towels for the onsen it seems. Lovely staff, very welcoming and caring."

"It was a wonderful place to stay - breath-taking view of Mt Ontake, and very delicious kaiseki dinner and breakfast. We had tremendously enjoyed our 3 nights there. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were huge and had a warm feel to it. We enjoyed our onsen baths very much too. The surrounding area is vast, and provides a place for good morning or evening walks or cycle. There is a stable nearby where one can walk to as well. Whether sunset or sunrise, the place is beautiful."

"Very delicious, very warm, courtesy and thoughtful, the landlord is an old man and the old woman. Health is also good, but unfortunately you can't see Yuyue Mountain when it rains. Several bus lines were closed in 2025, otherwise the surrounding area should be a bit fun. I look forward to seeing the red leaf season or the new green season. The mountain should be quite beautiful. (Red leaf season is estimated to be after 10.20"
