"Pleasurable stay, Great Breakfast, and Comfortable Atmosphere. Parking could be a bit better for accessibility. When we checked out and were loading our vehicle I fell in the parking lot try to catch a roll-cart that was seemed to be locked in place with the wheel lock, but it broke loose and I tried to catch it before it hit a car that was backing out of a spot. I caught it while I hit the pavement, and the car was never hit! I would suggest that they make the carts better in the locking capability! Other than that it was a very pleasant stay!"

The uninsulated canvas tent is outfitted with a queen size bed made up European style with feather duvet (no top sheet) and quality linens. Other furnishings include dresser, Keurig coffee/tea service, games/books, space heater, and comfy seating outfitting the inside. The real treat? a spa like private western red cedar bath house bringing you truly closer to nature with the organic design, raw wood finish, and outdoor shower under the trees. Some of the cedar used in the bath house was reclaimed from leftover timber in clear cuts of the Olympic Peninsula. Outdoor loungers, string lights and a fire pit. 9Mile Farm Forest Tipi experience may not be for everyone if you are uneasy without strong wifi, room service, a roof over your head, a lock on a door, early morning farm noises, or really nature this may not be your cup of tea. Be honest with yourself, does this listing sound intriguing or terrifying? if the latter please rethink before booking. This is the top unit in a triplex where each level is its own apartment. The next door neighbors on either side are close since the homes are waterfront. The primary bedroom has an attached bathroom (there is no door to separate the room from the bathroom, but there is a small hallway and a walk-in closet to separate the spaces for some privacy). The second bedroom is close to the second bathroom. There is a small laundry room. The kitchen is a good size and is open to the living room. The workspace/desk area is in-between the kitchen/living area. There is one parking space for your vehicle, but a long-bed pickup truck or longer (such as a trailer) would need to be parked on a side street.
The triplex and neighboring waterfront homes own the private beaches in front of their houses. Houses are close to one another and people enjoy their privacy and personal space, so we ask that you respect this during your stay. This is the top unit in a triplex where each level is its own apartment. The next door neighbors on either side are close since the homes are waterfront. The primary bedroom has an attached bathroom (there is no door to separate the room from the bathroom, but there is a small hallway and a walk-in closet to separate the spaces for some privacy). The second bedroom is close to the second bathroom. There is a small laundry room. The kitchen is a good size and is open to the living room. The workspace/desk area is in-between the kitchen/living area. There is one parking space for your vehicle, but a long-bed pickup truck or longer (such as a trailer) would need to be parked on a side street.
The triplex and neighboring waterfront homes own the private beaches in front of their houses. Houses are close to one another and people enjoy their privacy and personal space, so we ask that you respect this during your stay. Our cozy cottage features stunning views of Dyes Inlet. It is also a bird lover's paradise with so much activity right within view of the cottage! The sunrise views are truly amazing & you can enjoy them while enjoying your morning coffee on the nice big deck, but make sure you catch a sunset as well. It is fully furnished & includes 1 bedroom with closet, 1 bathroom & a full kitchen/dining room with refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven & all the essentials. Additional amenities include TV, DVDs & player, books & games, wi-fi, grill, use of canoe, kayaks, bikes & rubber boots.
The Property
We are on 2.8 acres with a large amount of waterfront. The tide goes in and out twice a day. The cottage has a covered parking space and additional parking is available upon request. There is a personal a gas grill on the deck and you are allowed to use the canoe or kayaks (with a signed waiver). We have a large canoe as well as 3 adult and one child kayaks. We also provide most sizes of rubber boots for beach combing and several lawn games.
During low tide, you can walk around the point as long as you stay on the beach. We have 2 big friendly dogs and 2 cats on the property that might want to visit you when you are outside, but they are not allowed inside the cottage. There are also goats and chickens you can visit if you'd like. Feel free to explore the small nature trail, play the 6-goal disc golf course, or hang out at the beach front picnic table - when weather permits.
