"I secured a reservation on the phone - with Tim. I sent an email confirming as requested by Tim. I rang on the morning of my stay to confirm arrival time with Tim. So it was inexplicable to be informed on arrival, by Tim, that he had given my room away to someone else. He even read out my email to me … but could not offer any reason other than, as a hotel owner, he didn’t check emails or voicemails. So the ineptitude was without question - hey maybe people make mistakes. But what was inexcusable was he didn’t seem to care at all, made no effort to find alternatives and basically just shrugged his shoulders. So, it may now be the only accommodation option in town, but your bed cannot be guaranteed. I suggest you stay in another town - or book at the Castle Inn B&B 2 miles away, where the hospitality is above and beyond."
