Phayamas Private Beach Resort and Island Brew - Adults Only

Phayamas Private Beach Resort and Island Brew - Adults Only ★★★

📍 47, 8, Muang, Koh Phayam

"The place is beautiful, quiet, and very private (I visited during the rainy season). I loved the wooden balcony area; sitting and chatting with the cool breeze was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent and delicious. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and had separate hot and cold bathroom rooms. However, the pillows had a musty, tired smell."

Nitiporn Resort Kohphayam & Seaagain Bar and Restaurants
8.7 (5 reviews)

Nitiporn Resort Kohphayam & Seaagain Bar and Restaurants ★★★

📍 29/8 Moo1 Bangring, Koh Phayam

"The room was full of flies, a few mosquitoes, and there were several patches of gecko droppings. The bathroom tiles were nice but very slippery when wet, and there was no non-slip mat. You had to be careful when showering."

Koh Phayam Greentawan Resort
7.5 (2 reviews)

Koh Phayam Greentawan Resort ★★

📍 101 Moo 1, Koh Phayam

"Dirty, lots of bugs in the shower, and the staff were very rude. I definitely do not recommend staying here."

Phayamhostel

Phayamhostel ★★

📍 7/4kohphayam, Koh Phayam

"Very friendly staff. Unfortunately when we booked their website said ‘Queen Room’ - weren’t expecting a tent. The facilities were fine with power, private toilet & shower next to your tent. The very reasonable price was too good to be true. If I had have known the rooms were tents & I was on a budget I would stay there no worries."

Rabbit Bungalow

Rabbit Bungalow ★★★

📍 PCR4+WMM, Koh Phayam

"Thank you so much to the team at Rabbit Bungalow! You are always there to help, call for motor taxis and make everything possible. Conclusion: Super friendly staff! When I checked in I was given an introduction to the many things on the island... mangrove bathing with prices etc. Any questions were answered right from the start :-) I was in the guesthouse with 7 other people and it was wonderful. The bed was clean, the pillows were great and with the curtains drawn you had your "private space". The shower and toilet facilities were very clean (but unfortunately the shower only has cold water). There is a cooking facility for travelers and a beautiful beach (with dogs that love to be petted) is only a 5-minute walk away...but it's downhill and then uphill on the way back. The food here is also wonderful: for example, you can enjoy a great breakfast until around 9:30 a.m. and watch the lotus flowers, which slowly close again around 10 a.m. The hornbill parrots can also be seen in the trees or flying past. A wonderful place to stay. The internet is a bit slow here and I would have liked a thicker blanket for the night... but I could do without that with all the other comforts. Thank you Team Rabbit Bungalows for the experience... Kop khun maak kah Christiane Müller"

"Wonderful place My husband vacationed here 5 years ago and we chose it again. A lot has changed after Covid, the island itself has frozen a bit, but Ziggi is afloat) A hammock on the veranda is what you need) No TV (for those who care about it), a complete reboot)) Cleaning on request! They give beach towels. Next to a separate bar - sun loungers, not many, but if you want, everyone will get some) Good massage! The cherry on the cake is a van with taps for drinks ☺️ The sunsets are amazing! breakfasts are quite European! Lots of fruit compared to all the hotels in Asia!"

Phayamas Private Beach Resort and Island Brew - Adults Only ★★★
"We spent three days here in a deluxe bungalow, ate twice in the evening as well as breakfasts and rented a scooter. An enquiry about the grades of bungalow was answered promptly and the transfer arrangements perfect. The bungalow was great and the general environment very nice indeed. Nice pool and the beach is fine for a stroll. Scooter rental also easy. So all in all a very nice place to stay; we enjoyed it and the accommodation provided a relaxing and stress free residence for the three days spent on the island. My problem was the food as although breakfast was good other meals were not up to much. Apart from a dish of aubergine chips which were amazing the dishes were basic and uninspiring. Okay, it’s a restaurant on a small laidback island but I would rather eat elsewhere where dishes were interesting and tasty even if fairly basic. A fish of the day dish (same fish on each day we were there) was well cooked but I didn’t finish it and the accompanying vegetables just bland. The restaurant shuts at 9pm which is fine but so too does the bar. You could buy a drink to keep you going but they just turn all the lights off when the staff leave. Come on, someone must be able to turn the lights off when the customers have gone to bed. And, no red wine! They sell white but not red? I have given the place a score of 3 which is called Average by TA and that’s a bit hard but a score of 4 is Very Good and it wasn’t that. It was good, I was glad to stay there and if I ever went to Phayama again would probable stay there again. But you will find much better food easily elsewhere."

"Clean room, very simple but just right for the island feeling; the price is reasonable. Unfortunately, there was no hot water or kettle, which would have been nice. But otherwise very pleasant."

"First, the positives: almost always free beds in the dorm, close to the pier for arrival and finding better accommodations, and the price of 100 THB was excellent. However, it was rare to find anyone in charge, communication was difficult, and the facilities weren't clean (especially the bathrooms). The room itself looked shabby, with lots of dust and a chalkboard used as a bedsheet. Luckily, I didn't have any bedbugs. It's better to pay a little more for peace and quiet."

Flower Power Village ★★
"An almost perfect resort. First things first. The pool area aswell as the tropical vibe of this hotel ist just awsome. The design of the Pool area is truly well made and looks beautiful. Staff takes care of the beautiful tropical garden everyday. There is some minor things, that could be optimized, that would make it perfect. Covering the stuff areas with some bamboo privacy protection, a sunken firepit instead of an empty rotten whirlpool, maybe some tropical bamboo umbrellas instead of the cheap looking blue ones. But all this should not sound like that this place is somehow not really realy nice even at the moment. I just have some minor critics which should not need much effort to make it a perfect stay. So far there is no toiletpaper on any toilet pool/restaurant. Thats just not good in my opinion as an european traveller. Even for our room we had to ask for toilet paper on the arrival day, because we haven't had some there. Since then we got some everyday. So that was fine. One other thing was not really good. The restaurant and food was good but the music selection there was crazy. A mix of tukish and weird songs where you expect some relaxing loungemusic. And the music was too loud aswell, but maybe thats just because the songs were pretty bad. A "cafe del mare" playlist would make make a big difference for sure. And one final thing, but thats not the fault of the hotel itself - we were expecting a relaxed island and resort. What we got was a relaxed island, beautiful resort, but a lot of screaming kids in the hotel who defenetly affected the atmosphere in a bad way. If this place was 18+ it would defenetly be better. All in all just minor things to complain about. If you book a trip to Koh Phayam, you can have an awsome time in Flower Power resort. PS: You should defenetly sell mosquito protection like spray and webs in your shop :-)"

Rabbit Bungalow ★★★
"Idyllically situated with a short walk to a beautiful beach. The bamboo huts are rather dark and small, and could use some renovation as there are creeps everywhere and security is somewhat lacking. The bed is great! Large and not too soft. Not all huts have a great view, and from the hammock you can only see the roof, not the starry sky. In contrast, the dorm is bright, white-tiled, clean, and has a spacious locker. Generally, only cold water is available. Lek is a wonderful host, helpful wherever he can be, and even organizes a fantastic buffet for Christmas Eve."
