Rooms are spacious. In fact, there was one additional bed in our room. Breakfast was ok type. Limited options. The manager Mr Rishikesh Das was really helpful in taking care of special requests like pure vegetarian dishes. We wanted but couldn’t use the rooftop swimming pool as it closes at 7 in the evening. The poolside restaurant was really impressive. Excellent ambiance with live music."

We have been regulars staying at Hotel Opal and just realised that we have been regulars and have been coming here for the last 25 years. A quaint bungalow kind of vibe to a more vibrant new age look, awesome food , as we were on our yearly visit to Mahalaxmi we were pure vegetarian but could see the full satisfaction on the faces of the guys on a carnivorous diet. Thanks Hotel Opal for serving us without any stress for the last 25 years I hope this love story continues for years to come."

Positive: 1) Wonderful architechture, 2) Beautiful ambieance, lawns, 3) Food is excellent. 4)The room is small but comfortable. Scope for improvement: Service could have been better and prompt. We called for someone to get our luggage during check out and no one really came. Also the pillows are too big for the comfortable night sleep. The sleeping pillows should soft but flatter and smaller. Overall : I can't think of a better budget hotel with the kind of ambience that it offers in Kolhapure."
