"Very welcoming and friendly family-run hotel. Reception staff are very helpful and obliging, extremely pleasant and greet you warmly each time you entered. The accommodation is basic but adequate. Self-catering facilities are minimal but there is a great supermarket just a couple of minutes walk away to buy local foods for lunches and snacks if you don't want to eat at tge bar. The rooms were very clean with daily housekeeping and bedding and towels were changed mid-week. Air-conditioning and safe key were available for an extra charge. The grounds were well-maintained and the pool area tidied every evening and hosed down every morning. The pools were never crowded and were very clean. All staff (reception, bar, service, housekeeping) were very friendly, pleasant and obliging and the poolside drinks service was very welcome. The hotel is a short transfer from Rhodes airport and a bus ride from Rhodes Old Town. The area itself is quiet with a good supermarket and a friendly taverna/bar with live music (and great food) just a couple of minutes walk across the road. We had a lovely relaxed and stress-free holiday. Thank-you, Emerald Hotel! 👍"

"Avoid this hotel! The rooms were very dirty, there were a lot of bugs, ants and spiders. Cleaning was made superficially, there was a lot of dirt everywhere. The hotel is really close to the airport and the noise is insane (planes are landing every 5-10 minutes). The doors were not closing properly, we could not lock the balcony door so it was really unsafe to leave the belongings in the room. The host is a very rude person, he basically insulted us when we tried to ask for his help. We were charged 56 euros for AC for 7 nights and the host told us to use it only when really necesary because the power is really expensive there (like we didn't already pay a lot of money for it). We asked for the receipt for AC and the tax that we paid but the owner refused to give us one. The hotel offers meals but the meals were cooked by the host in the reception and it was dirty and unsafe, the host left the meals uncovered for hours and the cluttery was dirty as well. The hotel is close to Kremasti beach but the beach is so dirty and it has big stones and deep waivy water, so not suitable for bad swimmers. Avoid this hotel at any cost."

"We stayed for 10 nights. Friendly staff and clean spacious basic apartment, with regular housekeeping. As a couple we had a lovely relaxing holiday. A stoney beach and excellent restaurants close by. Supermarket and bakery nearby too ."

"The hotel is new renovated and very clean, with polițe staff, the Guy from the bar is the best,but unfortunately the owners create an unfriendly atmosphere. The pool May look good în photos but în reality it's useless-plăcere on the Main street, right în front of the dinning area,with no real space or comfort for guests! Definitely not a feature worth mentioning! Breakfast was the biggest surprise, although included included în the price, was far below expectation: Limited portions, no vegetables ,no proper cheese(at my request half of a slice of processed cheese),only White toast bread available. Drinking water was charged separatly.The yogurt came with canned fruits instead of fresh,and the Coffee was truly unpleasant. Overall the breakfast experience does nit reflect the standards one would expect from a hotel în Greece!, even from a *** hotel! In the end this hotel is all appperance and no substance-not worth the money especially for breakfast included!"

"We love our stay at Valsamis! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Everything out of the kitchen is delicious. Nice pool and a 2 minutes walk from the beach. You can take a bus for €2,30 to the medieval city of Rhodes. The only thing you have to take into account is that it’s in the line of the runway of the airport 5km further west, if you’re sensitive to a bit of noise every now and then."
