"WORST & NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE My recent stay was nothing short of a disaster. The receptionist “Gayatri” was extremely rude and unprofessional — definitely not suited for a hospitality front desk role. Her behaviour towards customers was unacceptable. We booked a pool-view room through Trip.com but were given a stinky room with only a wall view. When I raised the issue, the hotel claimed they had no record of our booking from Trip.com and refused to take responsibility. The photo and the facility shown in Trip.com and Reality is different. I have added the photo of the building which they provide to guests. There is even no lift. Before booking, I had called the hotel (which, by the way, can only be reached via WhatsApp calls — mobile calls go unanswered) to confirm the number of people allowed in a room. They clearly told me 4 guests. But upon arrival, they charged extra for additional members and denied ever giving that information. If you book through any app, be aware — you will only get rooms in the building shown in the pictures, not the premium pool-view ones. For a good resort experience in the area, I strongly recommend Poovar Island Resort, Sarovar, or Isola Di Cocco — all far superior in service, transparency, and location. Avoid this property if you value honesty, cleanliness, and basic hospitality. Even you can see sales people canvasing to take club Mahindra membership, I ask them to provide me digital copy or hard copy of what they are saying, they don't provide. It clearly says if you take membership you will be fooled again"

"We; 23 classmates and 18 of our spouses (total 41) from the College of Engineering, Trivanrum, Mechanical Branch, 1970 batch; celebrated our Diamond Jubilee of togetherness at Isola Di Cocco Resort, Poovar, for 2 days from 4th to 6th February 2026 and it was a resounding success! 🎉Participants, held very senior positions, came from different parts of the country and abroad. The location, rooms , cleanliness, ambience, restaurant food, value for money, noise levels etc; were all top-notch. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, of course rates also moderate . Vast area, sea view and it's heritage style constructions are different from some top notch resorts. Their Ayurvedic Wellness Centre viz. ‘’Ayurtheeram’, with in the premises but separated, is an added attraction. Our only concern was the access roads. While the resort itself is beautiful, the approach roads could be improved. The western Panchayat road is Earthen but relatively straight, while the eastern road is bituminous but has sharp bends and steep inclines. Since another resort has this same approach, traffic block can be expected any time. We understand these roads aren't the resort's responsibility, but we'd love to see them advocate for improvements to attract more guests."

"Our stay at Kayaloram was a disaster. Rude staff (name-JOBIN), a foul smell in the room, and safety concerns made it unbearable. The room was dirty, and the door felt flimsy. To top it all off, when we informed the staff that we couldn't possibly stay in such conditions and requested a refund, they were adamant that we pay for the full stay. We had booked four rooms for our group, and they showed no sympathy or willingness to even discuss a partial refund. In the end, we had no choice but to cut our losses and find alternative accommodations, essentially paying for four rooms that were completely uninhabitable. It's safe to say we will never set foot in Kayaloram again, and I strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to steer clear unless they have a high tolerance for rude staff, safety risks, and rooms that smell like a neglected basement. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone."
