Ibis Hotels in Kunming

We booked a day and ended staying here for a week, most touched by the good services offered by some of the staff at the front desks. Although the challenges remain as the personal changes time to time, some were unable to help or given wrong information, nevertheless, they have been most helpful. I like the way they resolve the problem of the limited (only one) washing machine, but assisting in queueing the guest's laundry, and retriving them when done. This save us much time to spot an empty washing machine. The location is not amazing despite about 300 m+, it has no stopping point for vehicle, grabs often refuse to pick or stop near to the hotel. Getting on and off also risks knocking by the many fast moving vehicals on the inner lane. Hotel adjacent to a construction, and train, expect the noise, good to have double layer windows which cut the noise significantly. We love the interior of the hotel being simple and space effective. We decorate it with flowers (very cheap here, just last for a day or few). Cleaniness is good, minus occasionally get a fast cleaner than skipping hidden areas and forgetting to reprenish items. It has almost no facilities, the computer turn on was too slow that I have never stay until seeing it ”on”. Breakfast nicely serve with some pastry and typical noodles, though everyday almost identical, for short stay, it makes no different. Great to have soya and coffee for the morning too.

The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, providing an excellent night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making check-in quick and hassle-free. The location is superb and convenient for transport, and the soundproofing was surprisingly good. Every detail showed thoughtfulness. It offers incredible value for money, and I will definitely stay here again next time. Highly recommended.

I really like Ibis's family rooms; having one large and one small bed means we don't have to squeeze together. This time, we had a late flight into Kunming and only needed to stay one night. The hotel contacted me in advance and provided the shuttle service's phone number. I found the bus right outside the airport exit, but it was a shared shuttle picking up guests for the hotel next door too, so there was a bit of a wait after getting on. I was very satisfied with the room itself. The breakfast, however, wasn't as good as at the Ibis hotels I've stayed at in Guangdong, though the freshly cooked rice noodles were decent.

The location is super convenient, close to the free trade area and the transportation station, and the travel is super worry-free! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the sleep was very stable. The facilities are complete and practical, the toiletries are provided on demand, and the bathroom is dry and odorless. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the check-in and check-out are efficient and fast. The price is super high, whether it is a business trip or a short trip, it is very suitable, next time you come to Kunming, you will choose this ～
