"Five-star rating all around! I was a bit worried the 2019 renovation might feel old, but it absolutely doesn't – everything feels very new. They offer a pick-up service from the train station, or it's just a 300m walk. Inside the hotel, there are English-speaking staff, making communication a breeze. The buffet dinner was also good. There aren't many dining options on the hot spring street; besides one BBQ place, it's mostly set menus and ramen, so the hotel buffet is a better choice. For lunch, I recommend the cafe by the entrance; both the cakes and drinks were delicious. Since we visited in winter, we didn't book the scenic train, but we did go to the ski resort, which was perfect for kids. The foot bath next to the train station was super hot and incredibly relaxing. This is a great place to stay for two nights."

"There was a hot spring nearby, a supermarket nearby, and a major road, so it was very convenient. We were hit by snow, but there was a snow-melting system so we had no problems getting around. The hotel service was also kind and courteous, so we were able to stay there with peace of mind. I would like to use it again next time."

"It was a very nice hotel. The Western-style room was spacious and clean, and the bath, both the changing room and the washing area, were spacious and clean, making it a very pleasant experience. It was raining, so I got wet before entering the open-air bath, but it wasn't a cold season, so it wasn't a problem. I was looking forward to the free beer, soft drinks, and ice cream after the bath, as it was listed on the website, and I was also happy to find that the evening meal buffet also included free drinks, including alcohol, which made my stay even more enjoyable. It was really nice that there was little waiting time for the elevators, and free drinks were always available on the lobby floor, making everything pleasant to use."

"This is a special hotel in a unique location. A wonderful experience, stunning views! The onsen is fantastic! Be sure to take breakfast! The service is top notch! It's important to understand and keep in mind that the hotel is not new, but that doesn't detract from its merits. I definitely recommend including this hotel in your itinerary to explore the most vibrant corners of Japan; it's an unforgettable experience!"

"Beautiful hotel (about 7 min walk to the station) and was a great Ryokan experience as the room was traditional and had a breath-taking view. Futons were sufficiently comfortable - but wished there was the whole Ryokan welcome and fanfare. Staff was welcoming but did not speak much English though they had papers of English instructions all ready. There was a free shuttle out of the hotel at fixed timings to the nearest Shinkansen (Unazukionsen Station) Onsen was relaxing and was supplied with good quality products for every aspect of grooming. Lots of vending machines were available, there was a souvenir shop on site though pricey. We just did not enjoy the corridors as it gave out a creepy vibe (due to it being an older establishment), hence, we did not enjoy moving around the hotel). Facilities were beautiful and well preserved. Food as part of the experience was a good and large helping. We opted for the full seafood experience but it had a lot of sashimi or cured seafood which was not to our own liking (we did not really know what we signed up for, really our fault!) Breakfast was a good spread and really hearty. A lot of traditional and local specialties to experience! Overall a great stay! (Shops in the vicinity closes at about 5pm and open at 10am)"

"This hotel is part of the Oedo Onsen Monogatari group, and its reasonable accommodation prices are definitely reassuring. Its proximity to Unazuki Station makes it incredibly convenient for taking the sightseeing train. The buffet offered a rich variety of dishes, all prepared using local ingredients. I was very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast, especially the yellowtail, which was absolutely delicious. I stayed in a Japanese-style room, which was very comfortable and provided a restful night's sleep. This place is highly recommended for families with children, offering a large ball pit, an inflatable slide area, and an arcade."

"We arrived before check-in time and asked if we could leave our luggage and car, which was readily accommodated. The room had been renovated and was even nicer than it appeared in the photos, so we were able to relax and unwind very much. As for the hot spring facilities, rather than being luxurious, they consisted of a simple indoor bath and open-air bath, but the open-air bath on the 7th floor offered a nice view, with the trolley train running below. We were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend this hotel to our acquaintances."

"The service was very good. Since we did not follow the hotel's schedule and there were many people and luggage, the hotel sent a car to pick us up. On the return trip, it rained, so in order to let us catch the train, they sent another car to take us back. Thank you for the warm service! The room has a great view of mountains and water when you open the window. There are many high-end toiletries, the room is clean and tidy, and the food is delicious. I will come again next time."
