Aluna Paje
"Excellent hotel and great value for money. Manager and all staff go above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable and happy to help at any given moment. Few minutes walk to the beach and all amenities like bars, restaurants and shops are outside hotel in the wonderful area of Paje. Would definitely recommend this hotel as we had a great experience"
Konokono Beach Resort and Isaraya Luxury Overwater Villas
"This hotel deserves special attention, especially for those who would like to have a premium vacation, but are limited in budget. The villas are luxurious, spacious, all privately located with a garden and private pool. You can't see or hear your neighbors. It reminds me of the Maldives, only there such rooms cost thousands of dollars. The territory is large, well-groomed, very clean, it is pleasant to walk along it, those who take care of it deserve a gold medal. The hotel security in the form of Masai warriors is very unusual, it adds its own twist. Panoramic open-air restaurant. The views are stunning. The beach is clean, private, there is no one except hotel guests, the sand is white and soft. The ocean is clean. The time of the ebb and flow of the tide is convenient. The tides are early in the morning and after lunch, when the sun is no longer aggressive. Perhaps there is not such a variety in the choice of dishes, but it is delicious. Freshly squeezed juices for breakfast. The staff may not be as well trained, but this is reflected in the price. And still, a big thank you to them. I really liked it and highly recommend it."
JAZ Elite Aurora
"This place is a gem ! Love i"
The 5th Element Boutique Hotel
"Went here for dinner with my boyfriend. It’s the best coconut curry I’ve ever had! Also the owners and staff are super welcoming and friendly! We will come back. Please eat here if you’re in Paje ❤️"
Dhow Inn Boutique Hotel
"The stay was fine and the accommodations were nice. However, we ordered the all-inclusive package which is not your standard all-inclusive experience, as we had just left an all-inclusive resort in Nungwi just prior to our stay here. They have a specific menu that is for all-inclusive guests and it is much smaller than the menu provided to other guests. Less beverage options, I certainly understand, but the food options are nearly cut in half also. The service was often slow, especially during lunch. While there, it seemed other guests were also having issues with orders being missed on multiple occasion. "
Villa Huruma
"It was cute, it's quiet and suitable for everybody of all ages."
Mandarin Resort Zanzibar
"Mandarin Resort is a cool place to relax. There is a beautiful ocean nearby, we really liked the tides - we walked on the bottom and saw a lot of sea creatures. The territory is beautiful, the rooms are clean, with air conditioning and hot water. The pool is excellent, there is for both children and adults. Cool animation during the day and evening. The staff is kind and always helpful. The food is very tasty. We will definitely come back and advise everyone! The kids and I really enjoyed it!"
Paje Beach Apartments & Hotel
"We spent a month on vacation on this island and in the best hotel, right on this beach!!!!!! A gorgeous hotel with all the amenities. Spacious rooms, friendly and very helpful staff, which is very important! Even the slightest request is fulfilled quickly and efficiently! The hotel is not large, but very cozy. On the territory there are 2 swimming pools, a restaurant, a bar, and a floor for evening dancing! This hotel is suitable for visitors of all ages, both adults and families with small children. Excellent room stock. Special thanks to the staff in the restaurant - they are smiling and friendly! Breakfasts are simply finger-licking good - the pancakes are a real masterpiece. Thanks to those who clean the rooms and the hotel grounds - in a word, THIS IS OUR LOVE ❤️ Special thanks to the beach worker, always bringing out mattresses on the sun loungers on time. On the last evening, they arranged a festive dinner for us, with delicious seafood, songs, wine, and dessert! You moved me to tears; I definitely didn't want to leave. We miss you already and can't wait to see you next year."
Blue Reef Sport & Fishing Lodge and Bungalows
"I stopped by the Blue Reef Restaurant for dinner and it was very welcoming and friendly. The staff were awesome and I even sat with the owner and had a great conversation about his business and the area. Stop by and talk to Wilemina, the manager."

This way you can get acquainted with various types of yoga. I would love to go to Paje by Night again for these excellent lessons! The restaurant at Paje by night is great!"
Aquelia Rose Hotel
"This was la ovely place to stay. On the beach. Aircon. Wifi worked perfectly and food was nice. Room clean and staff friendly. Location of Hotel was perfect. Walking distance to town and beach and close by attractions to visit. Michael walked the extra mile with us after our card vanished in the ATM. What a guy. Organized all our trips, taxis etc. His knowledge makes him a person you can talk to an listen. He get 5🌟 for his service. Alida Neethling and Dewet."
The One Resort Zanzibar
"We stayed at The One Resort in Makunduchi, in the quiet south-east of Zanzibar, and absolutely loved the peaceful vibe. It’s a bit remote (which we liked), so if you’re looking for a break from the crowds and want to truly unwind, this is a great pick. The setting is beautiful, lovely pool area with a swim-up bar, stylish and spacious rooms, and great food. Both the buffet and à la carte menus were excellent (I’d seen other reviews mention the food being top-notch, and they were right). The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and the evening entertainment was varied and surprisingly good without being over-the-top. The only downside for me was the mattress, extremely firm, almost like sleeping on a board. Might be fine if you like that, but as a side sleeper I didn’t sleep great. Otherwise, the room was lovely and clean. The hotel can arrange tours, but we chose to explore on our own with a great local taxi driver. We swam with turtles, visited Paje, and went to The Rock restaurant, all easily doable with a bit of planning. If you’re after a chilled out place with good food, great service, and no big crowds, this place is a solid choice. Just be prepared for the remote location, and maybe ask about a mattress topper if you’re picky about beds!"
Fruit & Spice Wellness Resort Zanzibar
"Overall the hotel was good. The beach and pool was very nice. Food was hit and miss as certain items were repeated. Our Butler Ramson was provided with our Jungle Villa was excellent and his service was impeccable. Th hotel is approximately 1.5 hours from Stone Town. Overall we enjoyed the hotel amenities and food."
Amani Boutique Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
"Incredible stay! We started our honeymoon off in this hotel and let’s just say it was the best decision we’ve made. Clean, private beach, and most importantly, the staff who are so friendly and helpful! They truly made it feel like a home away from home! Would 100% come back if we visit Zanzibar again in the future!"
Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa - Relais & Chateaux
"My stay at the Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Resort & Spa was incredible. The location is just perfect with direct beach access, and I really appreciated how safe it felt – there's security around so nobody bothers you, which makes such a difference. We stayed in one of the villas and honestly, it had everything. Private pool with loungers and hammocks, really good air conditioning, a kitchen with a coffee machine and free soft drinks that got restocked daily. The rooftop with seating areas was our favorite spot for evening drinks. Loved the little touches like proper books in the living room and bedroom, and the mosquito net around the bed meant we slept perfectly. Two showers too – one inside and one outside. The resort itself has a nice boutique, a larger main pool, and a spa that's worth visiting. They use their own cosmetics which smell amazing. The jacuzzi in +30 weather felt a bit weird honestly, but still nice for a quick dip. For anyone who likes to stay active, there's tennis and padel courts, plus a center where you can book kitesurfing lessons and other stuff. We did the Jozani Forest trip and Stone Town tour which the hotel arranged smoothly. But the absolute highlight was the day cruise – snorkeling, landing on a sandbank, and the freshest grilled food prepared right on the yacht. Now let's talk about food because wow. The kitchen here is next level, seriously better than many high-end hotels I've stayed at in Europe. Everything tastes amazing, from the bread and pastries (genuinely better than France) to the butter mixed with local spices, to the steaks and seafood cooked perfectly. The only small thing was the Friday local cuisine night – the food was simpler and not quite at the same standard. But honestly, the live band playing that night was so good and energetic that it totally made up for it and we had a blast anyway. If I had to mention one tiny thing, it's the butler service. We weren't really sure what they were for since the reception team handled everything via WhatsApp super quickly anyway. Not a complaint, just an observation. Overall though, this place is something special. If you want luxury, privacy, and food that will blow your mind, book it."
The Oasis Residence
"It's a new hotel, well-maintained and with every detail. The taste with which it was designed is evident, and the staff takes great care to ensure guests are happy and have everything they need. We traveled as a family, and the villa was perfectly set up with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of space. All of them were located around two pools, nestled in a palm grove, perfect for relaxing. It has a small gym with enough space for sports, and the massages are highly recommended. I went twice, and the women who provide them make you completely relaxed. The only downside is that it's not right on the beach, but you can walk to the beach in a five-minute walk, and for us, that wasn't a problem. If you want, they have a shuttle that takes you to their two sister hotels right on the beach, where you can use their facilities. The hotels are less than five minutes away by shuttle... and are also within walking distance. We were very happy and would repeat the experience."
Protels La Plage
"Loved the serenity Protels offered when I spent time with my wife and our son there. Everyone was so nice to us, I really didn’t want to leave the hotel."
The Garten Living
"We came here for dinner as a family of 6, the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was unreal the best chips in town haha! burger, steak & chicken was all enjoyable! Thank you so much to this lovely little restaurant for looking after us - especially Sia,,Angel and Noel they were lovely people."

"A top-notch experience! A truly welcoming and relaxing environment to fully enjoy your vacation. Every detail of the property is meticulously designed, making every space fantastic. Annalisa is incredibly kind and always available; she recommended and organized unique excursions for us, and thanks to this, we had fantastic experiences. The entire staff makes a difference: always very kind and smiling; you can really feel the family atmosphere! The restaurant is very good, with many vegetarian/vegan options. Excellent value for money, so definitely recommended!"
