"Overall the hotel was good. The beach and pool was very nice. Food was hit and miss as certain items were repeated. Our Butler Ramson was provided with our Jungle Villa was excellent and his service was impeccable. Th hotel is approximately 1.5 hours from Stone Town. Overall we enjoyed the hotel amenities and food."

"Just the most fabulous hotel. Beautiful room and the most lovely swimming pool. The staff simply can not do enough for you. We had a small plumbing issue in both of the two rooms we were occupying and the issue was immediately attended too and we were all moved to upgraded connected rooms with so many apologies. They hotel also emailed our Travel Agent to alert them of the issue. The way it was so swiftly and carefully sorted out actually says a lot more about this wonderful hotel than any other glowing report. However, the rest is also glowing! The food, menu choices, location. atmosphere and staff. Everything is so gently perfect, sunbeds galore round the pool and on the beach section before the high tide rock defences. The Dive Shop also gets a mention - a wonderful snorkelling trip with breakfast provided by the hotel and freshly prepared fruit on the boat, an excellent Marine Biologist snorkelled with us to point out different fish and provide the names of them and the Star Fish Garden was amazing. All in all the most fabulous, natural looking rustic hotel but at the same time immaculate and modern. Just can't say enough about the hotel and the staff. This is a genuine review in case any one wonders if it is just too good to be true. it really is a special place. Thank you to all at The Breezes."

My child fell in love with this Hotel. Rooms are clean. Despite that there is only 20 rooms animation team always take care of guest organising many sport and evening activities like games, karaoke, volleyball, aqua gym, joga. It is not a croudy place with a lot of tourists but oasis of peace and chill out. For Mandarin team there is no word “impossible”. If i ever come to Zanzibar I would not hesitate to choose Mandarin Resort."

We opted for a sea view which I would really recommend. We found the food to be very good, fresh and lots of choice. What really makes this hotel stand out for me, however, is the staff. Every single member of the team we encountered was friendly, kind-natured and a real pleasure to talk to. They truly make you feel welcome. The whole resort has a very relaxed atmosphere and is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The hotel clearly takes great pride in both its staff and the guest experience."

"The place is very nice and relaxed with amazing sunset view. However, the room was full of insects and bugs, there was no hot water in the shower and the telephone was not working. They had to send the maintenance guy several times to fix the hot water which wasn’t convenient at all. The road to the hotel is very bumpy but worth the sunset view. Lunch was good, dinner was below average but the breakfast was yummy. Had to carry my luggage at checkout because the telephone in the room was not working and the reception was were far away. We were supposed to have free kayak or surf board but no staff was there to ask for the kayak. Overall, we didn’t feel that we got the value for money."
