"Five-star accommodation for us. We're a family of two adults and two children. We loved every moment of our stay here: the house is well-appointed, there's a lovely little balcony overlooking the sea where we ate, and Aosa beach is very close and beautiful, although almost always deserted. It was cleaned and towels were changed daily. The house is 10-20 minutes from each beach, perhaps 25-30 minutes from the southernmost one, Agyos Dimitros. The shower and kitchen supplies could be improved (more cutlery, pans, a cutting board, for example), and the staff could use a better grasp of English, but you just have to make do and eventually you'll understand each other."

"Very very friendly and kind hosts who are willing to provide help for anything. Very convenient location close to the beach and the port. The room is basic that has everything that you need. It's an European style hostel so you would need your own toiletries like toothbrush, conditioner, etc as needed. They also have an amazing pool as well. There's a restaurant right next to the hotel which has AMAZING food. Definitely check it out while your stay here. 100% recommended!"

"Felt teary as I left because it was so so wonderful. Best breakfast I’ve ever had at any hotel. The staff are the best in Greece! Honestly such a wonderful experience. Huge thank you to Yannis, the manager, Katerina, and Thanasis in particular; all the staff were incredible. Rooms cleaned to perfection - the house keeping team deserve a special mention. Pool was gorgeous. Room service food - the burgers better than NYC! Delicious. Such a relaxing fun stay. I read on here that this hotel is the best on the island. Completely true. Visit Kithnos for the hotel alone! Also, Yannis organised a boat trip for us with Rent a boat - Nicole and George… made our holiday. Really advise taking a boat for an afternoon if you can. Thank you team for looking after us so well. We will never forget you!"

"Second stay in one year so we do like the rooms and the location (Kanala). The breakfast is also very nice with a good selection. However breakfast preferably is taken in the room. This implies deciding the previous evening what time you want to have breakfast and what you will have. In addition the room is not equipped to have breakfast and neither is the terrace since it is very hot and does not have suitable furniture (stylish design but very uncomfortable). Alternatively breakfast on the main floor terrace, where there are nice tables and seats, is totally impossible since there is no shade whatsoever. Please Canal Suites, shade on the main floor area is a very easy solution to an uncomfortable situation. If you solve this, we will have your breakfast every day, next time round."

"Stay away from this hotel! The owner does not belong in the hospitality industry! Last weekend was an important one for my family. I wanted to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday. I booked a room for a one-night stay at Tramontana Suites. Three days before our arrival I got a call from Management where I was told that my reservation was cancelled due to “Technical issues”. It just so happened that ONLY our unit had power problems. According to them, they put their best efforts to find an alternative accommodation option but couldn’t find one. I did my own research and all available options were in the €500 - €600 per night range. Being last minute and all… I asked them to at least reimburse me for the ferry tickets since they were non-refundable. The agent said that he had to confer with the owner. An hour later, he denied the request. This was very unprofessional and unacceptable. I will never recommend this establishment!"

"We just spent an extraordinary week on the small Greek island of Kythnos. Few tourists, and among them mostly Greeks, charming little villages, archaeological sites to discover, and above all, superb beaches along its 97 km of coastline. Perfect weather, not a single cloud in sight: a truly picture-perfect setting. Our stay at the Amal Suites hotel greatly contributed to making this experience unforgettable. A truly 5-star establishment: welcoming, attentive, always smiling and available staff. The breakfast is excellent and served in an exceptional setting. Each suite has its own private pool – a rare luxury – in addition to a large communal infinity pool with breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding hills. The tranquility is absolute, and the sunsets are simply stunning. A huge thank you to the hotel owner and her entire team for their kindness, thoughtfulness, and dedication. Here, you can feel the family spirit and attention to detail: everyone goes the extra mile to ensure a perfect stay – and it shows! We travel often, and this is the first time we've left with a gift from the hotel... and a real pang of gratitude. "In the description, they write 20 minutes, unbelievable. You have to drive minimum 40 minutes down the complete island - and then the horrible gravel road !! The place itself is nice, really nice views, but not as luxurious as described. The salty water in the shower and everywhere is disgusting, they excuse it with the environment. Yes, I am green and environmentally friendly, too, but why build there houses in the first place? You can’t even brush your teeth with the tap water, you have to use bottled water - but they charge you two euros a bottle !! we paid almost €200 per night and one bottle of water was in the fridge, as a welcome, ha ha :-(( The access to the houses is very, very steep, for us no problem, but I imagined, my mother coming here: would be a disaster:-(( The young couple, who runs the place, leaves the impression to be helpful, but they were not !! They helped with one suitcase when we arrived, the other one we had to pull ourselves, and we had to carry and pull up the hill our suitcases on our own when we left:-(( Some people managed to drive their cars down the steep hill and parked them in front of their apartment - but that spoiled the view !! The guy recommended us nice restaurants, really good recommendations, but you always have to drive about 45 minutes. That’s not their fault, but there is nothing nearby, no shop, no beach, no restaurant, nothing !! For people who want to relax and sit all day on the terrace and enjoy the view, it’s a nice spot."
