"Environment: National Day Hotel The town hotels at the foot of Blade Mountain were all booked. I chose this small town hotel on the mountain road. There was only a pizza shop for dinner and the supermarket closed at 8 o'clock. Service: Very friendly Facilities: The room is relatively small. I can't walk after opening the 29-inch large box."

"The house is in a fantastic location with a stunning view of the valley. The rooms are large (most of them) and clean. They are comfortably furnished and have everything you need. The welcome from the Krapf family (three generations) is very warm. They cater to every need. The terrace is large, unfortunately facing the road, but you know that in advance. We spent some wonderful hours here. The food included in the half-board package deserves special mention! The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. It's constantly replenished with smaller portions, so everything is always fresh. We even had the scrambled eggs and bacon brought to our table straight from the pan... The selection for dinner is fantastic and varied. There's something for everyone. You won't leave the table hungry. There are local specialties as well as international dishes. You'll find Italian and South Tyrolean cuisine. Congratulations, even though I still haven't got the recipe for the Schlutzkrapfen (filled pasta)..."

"Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms in modern alpine style. Located in the Laion village, a gem of typical east alpine kind. Well connected to Ortisei and the whole valley both with car and buses. Family run, comfortable and welcoming, with a very good breakfast. There is no elevator so mind to ask if you need to avoid top floors."

"Beautiful hotel and restaurant. The new rooms (offsite reception) offer more comfort than the wooden rooms in the rest of the building. The food is truly top-notch. The pool located above the new rooms is small but stunning with a fantastic view. The staff is incredibly friendly. Prices are reasonable. P.S. I recommend the barbers... there's a super topper."
