"Good hotel, rooms a little dated but clean and big. Beds comfortable. Has a really good bar downstairs called lohmi’s pub which was very nice. Breakfast was meats and cheese with a cooked egg option. Hotel was close to transport links and had a bus stop directly outside taking you to Solingen station which had good links to leverkusen and Cologne. Trains were unreliable in evenings so we got an Uber back from cologne a couple of evenings which was around 40 euros. Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful."

Lohmann's Romantik Hotel Gravenberg ★★★★

"Whilst we enjoyed the dinner at the hotel the bedroom was quite poor. No lift - no A/C - no sound-proofing and the bathroom was bathed in floodlights throughout the night. To add to this the bedroom windows opened onto the beer garden. The night was very warm and so, in the absence of air conditioning we had to have the windows open. Well past 11 pm the noise from the clientele gathered around the smoking area was unbearable. We rang reception and tried to get someone to tell them to be quiet. The first time a lady said that she "would turn the music down". On the second occasion the 'night-porter' spoke no English and didn't do anything. It was like sleeping whilst a party got louder and louder."

Hotel Mondial ★★★★

"The Lord at the reception was very friendly and strived, which is positive to highlight. Unfortunately, the room in general could not convince. It seemed very familiar, and there is apparently a significant investment congestion. In the bathroom there were several fungal spots, the glass shower wall was not properly cleaned and showed clear traces of previous guests. In total, I would rather allocate the hotel to the level of 2-Sterne-Standards. In terms of this, the required room price is, in my view, clearly too high."

"The hotel is centrally located in Langenfeld. The S-Bahn Station Langenfeld runs about 20 minutes. The rooms are OK.. The cleanliness is very good. The floor is a restaurant with a good food offer. We booked with breakfast which is taken in this room. On Saturday we were asked what we wanted to breakfast (heartful/sweet). On Sunday we could serve our very good and varied brunch buffet. The service of the local, which is also a contact for the hotel, was very careful and premature. I would book the hotel again"

Hotel am Berliner Platz ★★★

"We stayed for six nights... The hotel is clean and centrally located, with a small deep garage below, and unfortunately the few parking places were very closely measured . The breakfast was simple, but of all something there - the service was nice and the coffee was delicious. And, despite the central location, no street noise was hearable at closed window. The deco was very good ... Unfortunately, except in the hotel flurry and the rooms themselves, very strong waste water smells made me less comfortable overall stay. The expected hotel own restaurant is no longer available. Instead, both outdoor seating facilities covered with marks are demonstrated by a Turkish pide restaurant that we have not tried."
