"In fact, I am. I am missing something as basic as a mirror over the sink in my bathroom. I was looking forward to an exceptional experience at the renowned Inn at Langley, and though the views are certainly spectacular, I really struggled to get past the fact that the room I’d paid dearly for lacked an amenity that my dorm room had when it was built in the 1950s. At first, I thought that perhaps a mirror had been there and had been broken, awaiting a replacement, but no…. There was uninterrupted tile covering nearly every inch of the wall that I faced while washing my hands and brushing my teeth, with no hardware to indicate a missing or soon-to-be-hung piece. There was a small cosmetic mirror on the counter, and a full length mirror in the room’s closet, some 18 feet away. That was it. The room was also missing the at-this-point standard hotel consideration of charging oulets suitable for today’s electronics…. If you don’t bring a charging block with you, you are out of luck. The hotel’s front garden is lovely, though the water in the fountain was not moving and appeared to be heavily algaed. The bed in our room was comfortable, the bathroom well equipped, and even has a soaking tub with a view of the water, though it is extremely strangely laid out. … sort of a long hallway that starts with the aforementioned sink and its blank tile wall, leading past a toilet, into a huge open shower and then into the tub with its water-facing window … and another window opening into the room itself, from which you can see straight into the bedroom part of your own hotel room, your own balcony, and your next-door neighbor’s balcony … and they can see straight in to you should they glance back and slightly to the left while admiring the water views. You can close that side window, but aren’t likely to realize the level of exposure until you’re in there. I could have sat out on the spacious balcony with its comfortable chairs, stared out at the scenery and enjoyed the peace and the sound of the lapping water forever. But I have a hunch I could have gotten the exact same view in another location in this charming town, in a place where the management understands that guests need more than idyllic scenery."

"Our 40th wedding anniversary was spent at this Bed and Breakfast/Winery. What a wonderful time we had. The owners were welcoming and took extra time to visit with us when they had time. The property is in a quiet location, and the fact that it is a working winery as well is unique. It is located just minutes from Langley which is one of our favorite small towns to visit. The property is pastoral and the modern building nestles into the setting well. The rooms are clean, tastefully appointed, and very comfortable. The room we were in was spacious and had plenty of storage and open area. The custom bed frames and headboards really added to the spacious room feel. The common kitchen area is well set up, and the common reading/living room is inviting. We had a view that looked across to Clinton and south Everett. We understood there was a simple breakfast, but wow! We got homemade granola with yogurt and toasted homemade apricot/walnut bread with an apple/pear/fig side salad. We were having battery problems with our vehicle - requiring an overnight battery charge, and finally a jump-start. They were very helpful and made sure we got jumped so we could get over to Les Schwab and get a new battery. This place is our best place to stay in the area! We will go out of our way to get here."
