"It was a terrible experience. We booked a stay via trip.com and i noticed that the booking was pending. A while later we got confirmation that everything was OK (booking number, credit card was charged). However to be 100% sure i contacted the hotel itself and they confirmed that everything was OK. The next day we wanted to check in but the staff told us there wasn't a booking and that they hadn't any room left. The employees were not willing to find any solution and the only thing they wanted to say about it was that we had to solve it ourselves. So we did. We called trip.com and they were most helpful in trying to solve it. However they couldn't get in touch with the hotel directly. At the same time we managed to book a room in another hotel in the neighbourhood. Additionally we were still able to book a room at Fletcher's for that same night via ***********. The employee didn't have a clue why this could occur . Conclusion : malfunctions can happen but then the employees should handle this in a professional way and not move their problem to the customer."
