"Thank you for your comfort and care. I have traveled extensively in Africa and this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. The rooms are clean, the showers work well and there is hot water, which in my experience is very rare in Africa. The air conditioning saves from the heat. Also the hotel has a lovely interior and a restaurant with excellent food. Another separate plus is the location of the hotel. Nearby there is everything you need. It is very safe and pleasant. Thank you! I will stay again when I am in Lilongwe. "

"Simama Hotel was terrible on multiple levels. The rooms including the carpet, linen and curtains were filthy. Requested a change of linen and it was worse. Discovered they did not even have a vacuum cleaner to deal with the dusty carpet. There were multiple occasions where our food was off, the meat was not fresh, I skipped meals because I did not want to risk food poisoning. We had cockroaches in the dinning area, on the tables, and what I believe were rodents in the ceiling. A health risk, emotional turmoil and certainly not worth your peace of mind. I must add though, the staff were friendly and did try their best to make our stay a little bearable, but it was clear that their hands were tied, they did not have the resources to improve the situation."

"I had a very pleasant stay at Barefoot. Chalet was lovely with fan, mosquito net and ability to make a hot drink. A good breakfast was served. WiFi is available in the public area the bar. I hope to return again I had experienced car trouble and the owner assisted me in finding a mechanic at the university and I was accompanied by Akim to the mechanic."

"I had an excellent experience at Latitude 13 Degrees in Lilongwe. Everything was spotlessly clean, the surroundings were beautiful and relaxing, the gym was well-equipped, and the food was consistently fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the entire stay feel warm and welcoming. I’d especially like to single out Bosco, one of the drivers, for going above and beyond. He was not only a brilliant and reliable driver, but also incredibly caring, respectful, and attentive. He made getting around Lilongwe so easy and enjoyable — if you’re looking for a great driver, Bosco is your man! Highly recommend this place — a perfect blend of comfort, quality, and genuine hospitality."

"I spent six nights at the Kumbali Lodge on business and would highly recommend the experience. From the management and staff's courtesy and concern for guests' well-being to the excellent food at the lodge and at the Farmer's Daughter restaurant, including Malawi food, the experience was outstanding. I also went running with a local group and on a mini safari. The only downside was that the pool was being refurbished. The rooms and the lodge gardens are beautiful, and you can easily see the monkeys' family that lives around."

"After being upgraded due to an overbooking issue at The President Hotel (I will review them later), I felt redeemed. Thr Presidential Suite is far away from reception, and my comments on the suite are: 1. Very far from reception! 2. Feels like a 1980's room... decor.... 3. Good bed 4. Small shower 5. Good AC 6. Old LG TVs The breakfast was ok.... My BIG ISSUE: A CHURCH GROUP SHOUTED AND PLAYED LOUD MUSIC UNTIL 04H00 IN THE MORNING (on a Friday eve - 23/8/24l)!!! I SLEPT 2 HOURS! I called reception at 02h00 but there was no improvement.... (the church people shpuld be ashamed at their behaviour and being so inconsiderate! "Do onto others......." I will never stay at this noisy, 1980's style place again!"

Rooms are nice a spacious with great facilities, warm showers and comfy beds, with mosquito nets provided if wanted.
