"The location of this homestay could not be any better, right next to the ancient town and the birth house of the 7th Dalai Lama. It’s also only a short walk to the Litang Monastery. The host is friendly, helpful and communicative. Note that this is a true homestay with a large shared room for people to gather. The host invited us to ******* milk tea and drinks, which was lovely and stood out! Unfortunately, the rooms are quite dated and not very clean, with dust and hair from previous occupants on the floor and couch. The bathroom and toilet were also not clean, and there was a strong sewer smell in the bathroom. That said, the host did her best to remedy this and the price for the room was also more than fair!"

"This is the first time I've encountered a hotel where there are still oil stains left by the previous guest on the table, sunflower seed shells on the floor, and hair on the chair. I don't know if the room has been cleaned at all. The front desk basically provides no service. I stayed there in 2024 and had a good experience, so I didn't expect the cleanliness and service to be this bad this time. I won't be coming back."

"Even though I booked a dorm bed at a hostel, it came with a private bathroom, ample hot water, and a very clean bed – I was thoroughly impressed! The host was also incredibly welcoming. When I started feeling a bit of altitude sickness, they immediately offered an oxygen machine. A simple breakfast was served in the morning. Given the village's conditions, I had a very comfortable stay, and the price point is excellent for student travelers."

"The manor is newly built, and some public areas may not be complete yet, but the rooms are very good, and the housekeeper service is also very good. We stayed in a king-size room, and they prepared two oxygen concentrators and nasal cannulas for us. There is a viewing platform behind the manor, where you can directly see the snow-capped mountains and take pictures of the stars at night. The owner also has a pony, which is only over 1 year old. Although the breakfast is simple, the freshly cooked butter tea is very fragrant. The noodles cooked by the kitchen boy are cooked with a lot of pepper oil, which is very spicy. "My friends and I came to Litang to trek to Mount Genyen and stayed at this guesthouse in Xiazetong Village. The room was exceptionally bright and warm, facing Xiaozha and Mount Cameroon. The guesthouse is located right in the center of the village, and a morning walk up the opposite mountain was invigorating. The food at this guesthouse was also delicious (we ordered chicken soup twice), and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Not far from the guesthouse, there was a traditional ******* black tent, with yaks leisurely strolling by – a truly serene scene. I hope tourism will bring more respect and support to this place, and that all visitors will love this land."
