"From the booking process to checkout everything was perfect. On arrival it was obvious that the staff were happy. This comes from the top and the hotel is run by an extremely hard working, helpful and cheery family. Our room (104) was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and comfortable with good quality bedding. The en-suite was clean and the shower was powerful. There was a good choice for breakfast, quality ingredients and well cooked. The same goes for the evening meals. Nothing was too much trouble even helping with an issue we had with our hire car which was alright in the end! We would love to return at some point."

"We again stayed at the Cathedral View Apartment in Longford when we visited July 19-26, 2026 while attending the Farrell Clan Rally. Our hosts (owners) were Geraldine & Robert Stewart. Outstanding hospitality and accomodations at a great value. Apartments are fully furnished, most have a kitchen and the ones without have meals provided by Geraldine. Make sure you try her breads & pastries - excellent. Twelve rooms in a three story building attached to adjoining businesses facing the street. Note: no elevator, so if need be request a ground floor accomodation. Large, secured parking lot on the property. Another key feature is their location. Five minute walk from the train/bus station & walking distance to everything in Longford's town center. We highly recommend Cathedral View Apts for their value, outstanding hospitality, and location. Again thank you to Geraldine for her attention to detail and her infectious smile. You are the definition of the Irish welcome. We hope to return again soon.
