"Similar - perfect - review for the other booking we made for September. As mentioned, friendly owner upgraded us to the suite (3 rooms + living room + kitchen) for 2 nights, then we went to the rooms we had booked initially, as another family had booked the suite. Photos are of 1 of the rooms in the suite, with attached garden, but upstairs isn't too different (4 rooms, all brand-new). Everything is very clean, as advertised. Owners do speak some English, so no problem communicating (anyway, my wife, daughters and sister-in-law speak Chinese so it wouldn't have been a problem). Owner also arranged for a car to bring us to the various entrances, and the train station the last day, so it was all very smooth, we only had to climb the Great Wall, which was gorgeous (we knew Jinshanling is one of the most beautiful sections). We look forward to coming back, at a different time of the year (end of winter or end of autumn), so we look forward to coming back again... and tasting your cooking too ! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable !!!"

"This place offers two separate, independent guest rooms situated in a small courtyard. While the rooms aren't huge, their biggest advantage is definitely the superb location right next to the Jinshanling Great Wall entrance – it's only about a five-minute walk to the gate, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel's overall environment is pleasant, and they offer a wide variety of room types. There's also an on-site restaurant where you can have dinner. In the surrounding area, you'll find coffee shops and restaurants, perfect for an evening out. A really great perk is that hotel guests can drive their cars directly onto the property."

"I've visited the Badaling and Mutianyu Great Walls before, but it was already late this time when I went to the Jinshanling Great Wall, so I found a nearby farmhouse to stay the night. Parking was convenient, and the farmhouse owner was very helpful and even offered to upgrade my room. The breakfast was visually appealing. The bathroom and toilet had a noticeable odor problem with the sewer pipes. In my experience, this probably stemmed from the construction not properly installing the one-way sewer bend. I arrived late and left early the next morning."

"The room and hardware facilities are pretty good, and the price is honestly very affordable during the National Day holiday. . . The worst part is the lack of service and service awareness. . . He was warm and thoughtful in directing the parking. . . The only service highlight"

"I had an excellent stay at this guest house. The family that runs it is very friendly and very helpful. Not a lot of English is spoken, but don't let that deter you, it's a very welcome place and they'll take care of your needs. They can provide a lot of info on visiting the Wall and the location is just a hundred meters from the entry gate to the Jinshanling Wall. Even though it's still a few 100 meters walking after that, this is the closest you can stay in case you want to get on the wall for sunrise. Dinner was very tasty. I would definitely come back!"

"This place was the best after our long walk along the Great Wall. We started in Gubekiou and walked the wall until Jinshanling. The farmhouse was only about a 20 min walk from the entrance of the Great Wall which we were happy about. As soon as we walked up the owner ran up and welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. Each of our rooms had two small beds and a bathroom w a shower. Great value for your money. The family running it fed us delicious food for breakfast and dinner, were so welcoming and even helped us plan our next day hike. Would stay here again!"
