Holiday Inn Express BRUSSELS - AIRPORT by IHG

Holiday Inn Express BRUSSELS - AIRPORT by IHG

📍 Berkenlaan 6A, Brussel, Machelen

"The hotel is quite far from the city, but the train station is only about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. However, the transportation costs for commuting back and forth to the city add up quickly, so that is something to keep in mind. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, the shower floor is very slippery, so extra caution is needed. It is a large hotel with many travelers, so breakfast can get very busy. I would recommend going down around 7–8 AM; otherwise, it may be difficult to find enough food or even a place to sit."

Holiday Inn BRUSSELS AIRPORT by IHG ★★★★

📍 Holidaystraat 7, Diegem

"This hotel is a scam. We booked a non-refundable room, but their cancellation policy stated 'cancellation by negotiation.' Later, due to a flight change, our departure was delayed by a few days. Four days before our original check-in, we contacted both the hotel and Trip.com to request a change to our check-in date. Despite multiple attempts by Trip.com to communicate with the hotel, they refused to make any changes, citing that they were 'adhering to the spirit of the terms and conditions.' Of course, they'd want to 'adhere' to their own draconian terms when it allows them to unfairly deduct money from customers' accounts! So everyone, beware! Don't trust their 'negotiated cancellation' policy either, because if they won't even let you reschedule, cancelling is definitely out of the question!"

Ibis Brussels Airport ★★★

📍 Bessenveldstraat 17b, Machelen

"I thought the location was near the airport, but it's quite a distance away. For travelers arriving late at night, having to pay 35 euros for a 5-5 km taxi ride is a huge burden – the cost of getting there is more than the stay itself! However, the receptionist was very friendly, which made me feel good."

"The first room I entered was unclean. Even though they gave us another room post that, it wasn’t the nicest experience. But, overall the location was good! And, the staff was friendly."

📍 Culliganlaan 4b, Machelen

"Impeccable hotel overall. But of special note: I really wasn't expecting much from the kitchen but the salmon I had for dinner was perfectly prepared to my specifications (medium-rare) and everything about the dinner was excellent. Definitely the best fish dish I had in all of Belgium. My wife's dinner was equally excellent."

"We chose this hotel near Brussels Airport for our layover. It was very clean and tidy. Being an IHG hotel, which we frequently stay at in China, the service quality was consistently excellent and guaranteed."

"Good location, cheap, not much in the room in terms of amenities but weirdly they went inside my room while I was out, even though I put the do not disturb hanger on the door handle."

"Qualifies as both a business traveller's and leisure hotel, comfortably located at the proximity of Brussels airport. Close-by train station can get you around the city and it's surroundings, provided you are willing to use transportation."

Ibis Brussels Airport ★★★
"Everything was satisfactory overall; however, parking was a notable issue. I believe the hotel should consider offering complimentary parking to its guests rather than charging €14 per day. While paid parking is fairly common in Brussels, providing free parking could give Ibis Hotel a competitive advantage and help attract more customers. I encourage the management to reconsider their current policy in light of this feedback. Thank you."

"The airport hotel offers a pickup service, and the staff member who helped with my luggage was great! The location is right by the airport, only 5 minutes away! Right outside is the Diegem train station, making it convenient to go anywhere! The soundproofing is excellent, I couldn't hear a thing! The hotel facilities are good, the front desk service is friendly, the gym is in the basement, and the breakfast is plentiful. My only suggestion would be for rooms to also provide bottled water. Overall, highly recommended!!"
