"Arrived a little late but everything was prepared waiting for us. The room was small but well-equipped and clean. The bar staff in the evening were good but closed very much at 11. Breakfast was freshly prepared and hot. The hotel is right in the centre of town so a great base for a wander around."

"Nothing wrong with the hotel. Stayed in the Lloyd George room £175 per night. Had an evening meal which we enjoyed. The problem is the clock which as now been fixed, chimes every fifteen minutes and then chimes on the hour!!!! Kept us awake all night!! Staff nice and we liked the hotel. Just relieved we didn’t book two nights!"

"Nice looking hotel from the outside and central location. Interior decor was very tired particularly the stair carpet although lovely towels and clean linen. Most of the staff were lovely; however, there was one notable exception. Quiet hotel but does the town clock really have to ring every 15 minutes through the night?! I wouldn't call it cheap for what you get. Tea and coffee making facilities were good."
