"Just returned from Athena Palace with my wife would like say our room great view overlooking sea kept clean and tidy every day. Food was good but after a week became repetitive.Pool was okay with comfortable beds but general area lacked tlc with noticeable stains around pool edge etc but water was nice and clear .Definitely not a place for children running around with loads of stairs and slippy porcelain tiles .Staff were friendly and stories of all speaking about French are nonsense they do have lots of French guests and entertainment team are predominantly French speaking. However after all above fairly positive huge no no for me is smoking allowed around pool and after being surrounded by a week of French and Eastern European smokers won't be back unless this hotel moves into 21st century and stops smoking around pool areas"
