"We came because of the natural beauty. That part didn’t disappoint even though the pool is too hot to swim in. It was the hotel itself. This place is completely dilapidated. The good: The location is amazing but be prepared for a long drive up through the hills. The falls are beautiful. The people are polite and helpful. The food is good. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. And they serve alcohol which is rare in Muslim countries. The bad: Where do I begin? Cleanliness gets a zero! Everything was coated with a layer of grime. This might be fine for Jordanians but Americans will have big problem with it. All the furniture and fixtures need to be replaced (see my photos). They ran out of shampoo. The room was dirty. We upgraded to a suite because our first room was unliveable. The pool area was filthy."

"We stayed one night at Sea Gate Resort and wished we could have stayed longer! The beautiful villa was impeccable, it is spacious, modern, and well-equipped. It included a kitchen with cookware and tableware, an outdoor barbecue area, and a heated infinity pool. We also enjoyed our music using their Bluetooth speakers. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Suleiman and Mahmud. Suleiman helped us to arrange transport to the Salt Beach and Mahmud, the lifeguard accompanied us to the resort's private beach for floating and mud experience. Mahmud was very gentle and humorous, we had an unforgettable fun experience filled with laughter, fresh water and bath towels were also provided, which was a thoughtful touch. The resort is currently expanding its facilities, adding a restaurant, a public pool, and more villas."

"It's really not worth staying here. I rarely write reviews, but I find it bizarre that a hotel specializing in hot springs would close its hot springs at 7 PM. The sun wasn't even setting by 7 PM, it was unbearably hot. The hotel's main feature is just a swimming pool, not even as fun as the adjacent public waterfall hot spring, and the closing time is the same??? The hotel doesn't allow us to bring our own drinks in, and the breakfast was terrible! The hotel facilities are extremely old, and the beds are very hard! They made our backs ache! The rooms and bathrooms weren't clean either. It would have been better to just soak in the public hot springs and drive to the Dead Sea; it's only a half-hour drive, and the price is about the same, but the quality is several levels higher! This place is really low-class! Avoid it!"

"Stayed one night at Porto Dead Sea Hotel. I got better price booking with them directly. Staff was helpful. Hotel is right on the Dead Sea shore with very good access to the Sea. Clean, modern large apartment with kitchenette, small refrig, microwave. 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms both with showers. Comfortable King bed. Beautiful pool, and also easy access to the Dead Sea shoreline. Pool and Sea access close at 6pm in Oct - it gets very dark after sunset. Delicious breakfast was included. There is much unfinished construction on either side of the hotel. Looks like the section we stayed in was the first of a large development. No disturbing construction noise. Not sure if the rest of the development will ever be finished. But it did not impact our section or the common spaces or pool. Would stay here again. Better price than some of other the Spa resorts. I do not know if they have spa treatments here. Was not interested in that."
