Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea ★★★★★

📍 Swaimeh, Maeen Sub-District

"Dead Sea has lost a lot of tourist arrivals after the war in Israel started. Anyway upon check in, the staff kindly upgraded our room to a Premium room with pool view. 2nd floor was fine as we did not need to have a sea view. The resort is so huge, so walking around can take some time, or you can call reception for the buggy to pick you up. The next morning, we were amazed by the buffet spread at breakfast, from freshly baked pastries to eggs to Middle eastern side dishes. There was even sparkling wine wow! The view from the breakfast place was lovely, we could see the circular swimming pool and the Dead Sea in the background. The room was spacious and comfortable, but it had the fresh paint smell as it was recently renovated. The bathtub and shower were good, plus the amenities were special as they were made using Dead sea minerals. Of course a visit to the Dead Sea is incomplete without visiting the sea itself, we had a great time by the beach. The staff gave us instructions on how to soak in the Dead Sea and also helped me to slather mud on my body. The additional massage on my neck and shoulder areas was really good. We had so much fun here and took many great photos!"

"Special thanks to Mr. Malak, the best and most refined person. The staff is very nice. The room was 80% clean. The facilities were not bad, just average. My rating for the hotel is 70%."

O Beach Hotel & Resort ★★★★

📍 dead Sea, Jordan Valley Hwy, Maeen Sub-District

"Great sea view, nice pool area. The upper part of the hotel looks nice, the rooms are fine, but as you go down to the sea, you see a lot of abandoned buildings (as if they're undergoing renovations)."

Ma'in Hot Springs

Ma'in Hot Springs ★★★★★

📍 JJ54+8XQ, Machaerus, Maeen Sub-District

"It's really not worth staying here. I rarely write reviews, but I find it bizarre that a hotel specializing in hot springs would close its hot springs at 7 PM. The sun wasn't even setting by 7 PM, it was unbearably hot. The hotel's main feature is just a swimming pool, not even as fun as the adjacent public waterfall hot spring, and the closing time is the same??? The hotel doesn't allow us to bring our own drinks in, and the breakfast was terrible! The hotel facilities are extremely old, and the beds are very hard! They made our backs ache! The rooms and bathrooms weren't clean either. It would have been better to just soak in the public hot springs and drive to the Dead Sea; it's only a half-hour drive, and the price is about the same, but the quality is several levels higher! This place is really low-class! Avoid it!"

Porto Dead Sea ★★★

📍 Dead Sea Road, Maeen Sub-District

"New resort with breathtaking views. There is a beautiful pool, playground for children and large luxurious rooms. We had a king suite with small kitchen and could easily sleep a family of four. The sea is very close and freshwater showers near. We stayed here during Ramadan and had no problems with getting food or a cold beer. The staff was so kind and helpful. We would definitely come back."

O Beach Hotel & Resort ★★★★
"The best part is that you can see the Dead Sea beautifully. There aren't many tourists, so the facilities are not well maintained, but it's still good enough to enjoy the view of the Dead Sea. The room is spacious, and you can sit on the balcony and look out over the beach."

"The resort is not exactly as advertised. The bathroom tiles (floor and wall tiles) are old and moldy. We booked a suite with balcony, and everything is falling apart (the chairs, door, desk, phone, tables, and lamps). The waterfall pool is nice, but you can't see the bottoms of the pool and the external tile is moldy. The hotel needs a facelift. We booked a room with two beds, but they gave us one bed. We asked one of the managers for a room with 2 beds, but they suggested one of us sleep on the bed and the other on the sofa until a room with two beds is available. We never got a room with two beds. Some of the staff lack professionalism and they use the hotel to advertise their own businesses. The head of guest relations services was very rude (I think his name is Fares). From the moment we arrived, he spent 19 minutes to talk to us about his personal beauty products business and Spa. He offered to take us to his place of business so we can buy stuff from his store. We asked him if the hotel offers spa services, and he told us it's too expensive. He also provided us a list of his services that included: - Round trip to the Dead Sea for 100JD. - Drop off to Rainbow Street from the hotel and back for about for 85JD - He offered to Take us to the Airport for 85JD (one way). We asked him if the hotel offer shuttles/car services and he said the hotel has two cars, but it's not free. We asked for the price list of the hotel's car services but he declined. He suggested we utilize his car services. All the prices he offered are double the cost to go to the area he suggested. Things we LOVED about the hotel: - The location is very private and secluded. - The waterfalls and Mountains View are breathtaking -The dining room is very cute and some of the outdoor seating areas (facing the waterfall) are breathtaking. -Dining room and kitchen staff are very professional, and they care about guest’s experience. - The daily breakfast is delicious and inclusive (vegan/vegetarian) - The live music at night "
