"We went there during the Iran-U.S. war so there weren't too many guests staying. We arrived late in the evening and found the hotel couldn't find our booking in the system. The receptionist took quite a long time to call and confirm that we can stay in our booked room. The communication and treatment wasn't professional coming from such an established hotel. Breakfast was mediocre. The room preparation was unprofessional. We are 3 people staying in the Royal Suite. There were only 2 bathrobes and slippers available. Lucky that the towels were enough for all of us. They also put the shower gel bottle at the handwash station (the bottle clearly says it's a shower bottle). I assumed the in hotel intended for the shower gel to be used interchangably with a handwash but when I went to the other room, there's an actual handwash bottle on its station. The shower gel within the shower room was also almost empty. If we stay for another day, I'm sure it will need to be refilled. Somehow this place isn't very well maintained and don't feel up to its price."

"Our experience was a complete and total disaster!! We reserved a family room, but the room was infested with bugs all over. i took a video and showed it to the staff so they gave us anothet available room which was a smaller room, but to our surprise they will charge us for the small room the same price as the family room!!There’s a 40JD difference and they act as if its our problem the room was infested!! Also, the internet is extremely weak and sometimes non existent! In addition to all that, no one answers the phone so if u want somethibg you have to go do it yourself! This was torture not relaxing and i dont recommend this place to anyone!!"

"I've visited this fantastic hotel a few times. I should clarify that while I was instructing canyoning and hiking guides, the Jordan Tourism Board paid for my lodging. I thus cannot comment on price. But I wasn't asked to write this review, and my only motivation for doing so was to share my experiences with you. As a climber who has traveled the globe, I can attest to this hotel's unrivaled location. As you go from the Dead Sea to Amman on the high road, the view into this valley of waterfalls is simply stunning. I've also been into the canyon that leads from the hotel to the dead sea, which was an incredible experience."

"Stayed one night at Porto Dead Sea Hotel. I got better price booking with them directly. Staff was helpful. Hotel is right on the Dead Sea shore with very good access to the Sea. Clean, modern large apartment with kitchenette, small refrig, microwave. 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms both with showers. Comfortable King bed. Beautiful pool, and also easy access to the Dead Sea shoreline. Pool and Sea access close at 6pm in Oct - it gets very dark after sunset. Delicious breakfast was included. There is much unfinished construction on either side of the hotel. Looks like the section we stayed in was the first of a large development. No disturbing construction noise. Not sure if the rest of the development will ever be finished. But it did not impact our section or the common spaces or pool. Would stay here again. Better price than some of other the Spa resorts. I do not know if they have spa treatments here. Was not interested in that."
