"A historic hotel with an antique design.. There is no elevator, so carrying luggage up and down is a bit difficult. The room is smaller than expected, there is no desk, and the radiator is old, so it was quite cold even though it was March. The restaurant does not serve dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays. (Breakfast is available every day; it is à la carte and quite satisfying.) We stayed for one night on a Monday, and we checked in without any issues after receiving a check-in guide email, with no staff at the front desk.. There is a Tesco & Aldi shopping mall 10 minutes away, and it is also nice to walk about 20-30 minutes to the High Street for downtown shopping or take a stroll in Promenade Park. The bus stop is also close.. Aside from the small room, I was generally satisfied.. The staff are friendly.."

"I’ve visited previously on nights out and it’s always got a great atmosphere, especially when they have live bands. The decor and fairy lights are really suit the historic venue. Earlier this week, I came for a mid week dinner with a friend and it was lovely. Huge portions and exceptional service from Issac, who was really personable and polite. My only suggestion would be to have a wider selection of wine by the glass, in particular Cotes de Provence Rose."

"I am sorry to say this was not a good experience our first room was dirty the bed linen was not clean the hot water was almost non existing and grossly overpriced even the manager agreed with all our complaints. We have paid less and had a lot better ,had we been given the room we were moved to because our floor was flooded we may not have complained as we said not a good experience"
