"Well, where do I start??? In a nutshell.... Disgusting!!! I made an error on a last minute booking which the guy on reception could clearly see but choose to not help. Due to a family grief & we travelled from Portsmouth & needed to get some sleep & washed etc. So as he wouldn't accommodate our situation over the genuine mistake I made when booking , baring in mind it was literally 30 mins after we booked we arrived I had a complete breakdown so was crying hysterically at the desk & he said he was sorry but nothing he could do, my partner asked him was there any rooms available at all which he replied yes, so my argument then was why couldn't he just accommodate us ?? So because of my breakdown & anxiety we paid for a room, number 25, £70 !!! I should of realised the alarm bells was ringing at this point but was so desperate to get some sleep & calm down etc off we went to room 25. Oh dear god, my anxiety got worse & I had a asthma attack brought on by the state of the room & obviously I wasn't staying there, not a chance!!! But because I didn't go down to reception within 5/10 minutes to complain & say we're leaving & I'd like a full refund basically it was "what do you expect me to do" company policy is "apparently" we didn't complain quick enough so tough. Baring in mind, by now, the state I was in, he actually had the audacity to ask me "what had we been doing?? for the very short amount of time in the room & I should of came back to reception sooner. I can tell you what I was doing.... Hysterically crying, my anxiety was so bad it brought on an asthma attack so at that moment in time I was not in a fit state so to speak to go straight back down to reception!!! And I was mortified about the room, shocking doesn't even cut it.... I have wrote to the manager & had no reply so it's being dealt with by my bank & trading standards. I've took pictures which I will attach because they have shown no compassion at all over this & I feel that this hotel needs closing down & refurbished to a very high standard!!! Cos right now it's far from it. The room hadn't been cleaned, cobwebs by the window, mould, light fittings dangerous, carpet not even hoovered & as for the bathroom..... I can't really say what I'd like to say except Avoid this place at all costs because it's a health hazard!!!"
