"Very atmospheric. This wasn't our first stay, and everything was excellent. The location is superb, right in the center. The room is comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. The hotel terrace is stunning. The staff is always helpful, especially with parking. The hotel is in a ZTL zone, so you have to drive around a lot to find somewhere to park and then to the parking lot. It would be nice if the hotel sent customers a suitable route with street names in advance so they don't run into roadblocks using their GPS. But this inconvenience is completely compensated by the hotel's location. We will book again."

"Perfectly located, beautiful, elegant, contemporary, charming hotel with beautiful spacious quiet rooms. What more could one ask for? There is even a towel rack to hang wet towels to save the environment! Our five days in Manuta were enhanced by our stay at Casa Poli. Raquele, Alesandro and Sylvia (one of the owners) were so patient and helpful and eager to make our stay perfect. The breakfasts are generous, the afternoon Nespresso or tea with sweets was much appreciated. In all, could not have been better."

"Depressing room overlooking an apocalyptic, "The Last of Us"-style view of an abandoned shopping mall. The walls were like tissue paper, I heard the others snoring, and I couldn't sleep a wink. The breakfast was awful, and the restaurant was awful. There wasn't even water in the mini-fridge. I asked for a spoon for dinner in the room (Deliveroo) and after an hour I had to go out to get one myself. The bathroom water ran yellow at times. The elevator, despite only being full twice, took forever to go up and down, with epic waits. I'd rather sleep in my car than sleep in my car."

"The room and its attached ensuite was excellent - the bathroom in particular was modern and clean, however the walls were so thin I was treated to the full operatic performance by the Italian couple next door, including sobbing, screaming and the subsequent reconciliation. As I think other reviews mentioned, the hotel is in the same ownership as the ABC along the road, so breakfast is taken there. A good location, close to the railway but not noisy as the rooms are behind the street location."

The palazzo is beautiful and our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortably appointed. It is central to the sites in Mantua and Claudio offered many recommendations for what to see and where to eat. Breakfast was exquisite with an expansive offering including delicious homemade cakes. Thank you for so warmly welcoming us into your home. We can’t wait to come back. We have traveled all over the world and all agree that Palazzo Arrivabene was truly special. It’s more than just a place to stay, Reni and Claudio welcomed us into their home. We feel privileged to have been their guests."

"Hotel right in front of the train station. It is basically a combination of different structures, from the hotel to the bed and breakfast, to the charming old structure. Really quiet place and the quality of sleep is excellent. Rooms not large but functional. Clean bathroom with shower. Possibility with extra charge to have breakfast in the hotel or to use a coffee bar that is next to the hotel. Very good girl at the reception who in addition to quickly carrying out the check in, accompanies the visitor to the room and effectively explains how to independently enter the structure from the entrance on the avenue or information about the city."

"Worst hotel-experience ever This stay started out strong, beautiful interior, friendly staff, lovely rooms, etc. But one incident has completely ruined this entire stay for me and my family. We (the 5 of us) were going to take the elevator down from the 3rd floor. However, once we get to the 1st floor, the elevator gets stuck. We call for help on the intercom and seem to get through, but they only spoke Italian to us, so we had no idea what was happening. This tiny elevator barely fit the 5 of us, and it was a glass elevator mounted on the outside of the hotel, so even before getting stuck the elevator was very warm. It did not take long for the elevator to become so hot, sweat was dripping from all of us in streams. We called the intercom multiple times and tried the phone of the hotel and nothing was really well communicated. Before long, the temperature is at least 50 degrees C, rising gradually. The staff probably had a procedure, however nothing worked, and the fire department finally arrived after around 55 minutes inside this elevator, which is frankly way too late. Finally, over an hour passed, and we got out. I don't blame the staff, they seemed really upset as well and stressed about the situation. I blame the hotel, and management, as they should have a procedure saying if nothing has been done for around 15 min max, then call emergency services. We got water when we got out, but we have not gotten any compensation or even apology from management or the owners. If you value your safety, use the stairs or find another hotel."
