Josef was very friendly. The skinny guy, Nelson, was also very friendly and helpful. I didn't like the way they serve butter at breakfast. The honey they serve is in little cups, since it's a rural area, and the bees get into them and die. They should change that. The breakfast was a bit limited, but understandable. Overall, I recommend it."

"Our family of 5 (kids aged 10, 8, 5) stayed in the River Dreams House for five nights. We loved our stay at Congo Bongo. The house, grounds, and trail to the beach are very cool. The isolated black sand beach is beautiful, although when we visited there wasn't much room to lay on the sand, water came up too high. Not really a problem, because an outstanding beach, Punta Uva, is just down the road. We enjoyed calling out to the howler monkeys that we heard throughout our stay. We loved our visits from one of the owners dogs, Pingling, who would frequent our house and accompany the kids on the trail to the beach. This place was the perfect blend of getting an immersive jungle experience while still enjoying the comforts of a "house". Highly recommended!"
