"We stayed here last month on our way back from a family wedding. We were excited to try this new hotel as we are frequent visitors to the UP. Not sure if it was due to end of peak season or that we made same-day reservations, but rate was at the higher end of what we have seen listed. The room was spacious, very clean and filled with high-end extras: coffee, tea, refrigerator and lovely bathroom. We were on the first floor and the view from the single window is of the parking lot. The best views were on the deck on the second floor where they offer complimentary drinks. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were not the best - cold and windy, so we didn't stay (they do have outdoor heaters and blankets, but it was just too blustery to enjoy being outside). The breakfast buffet was also a real bonus, however, there is no common area to sit. No tables to rest your plate or coffee. Also, no reception desk, but you can reach assistance via text. The extras would be most enjoyed during warmer months. We would come back and check out the rooms on the second floor."
