The hotel is actually on the slope, and the place you navigated to is down the slope. The car can park on the side of the road for free, and the hotel is monitored. Ring the bell uphill to open the door to enter, pass a small flower courtyard and a long corridor, and check in on the second floor. Our room is on the fifth floor. The two bedrooms are separated. There is a separate bathroom. There is a large terrace outside. It is great to sit outside on a sunny day the next day. There is a door on the fifth floor to go directly to the upper city of Ragusa. You can swipe your room card, which is very convenient. In the morning, the breakfast was quite rich. The front desk of the dinner hotel introduced a restaurant not far from the city. In the 16th-century house, the dishes, environment and service are very good. In winter, there are few people, so we will book a meal during our meal.

What can I say about Modica Boutique Hotel? I LOVED IT! LOCATION: GREAT! Easy to find, surrounded by many shops and restaurants. PARKING: Free Parking in a lock-up garage; private and very safe, with lift connected straight to Hotel. ROOM (Superior): Spacious, Modern, Very clean, Very comfy bed, Cozy linen, State of the art Shower, Relaxation at it's best! BREAKFAST: Spoiled for choice, everything fresh and delicious. Buffet Breakfast 'a la grande'! WATER MACHINE ON EACH FLOOR: Empty bottles provided for free cold or room temperature Natural and Sparkling Water HOTEL RESTAURANT: We had one dinner. Limited choice, however the food was cooked to perfect, presented well and we loved it. Very reasonably priced. STAFF: Polite, courteous, professional, and always with a smile. I highly recommend Modica Boutique Hotel, especially for those travelling with their car by ferry to Pozzallo, as it is only 20min drive. You will not regret it. This is the hotel where we stayed. The building outside appears to be an old historic building, but inside staffs are very cooperative. Our check-in was very smooth. The staff tried helping us. Continental breakfast was nice. There was no English channel on the TV, so that forced us to learn some local Italian languages such as Grazie, Prego, etc. The hotel is within walking distance from the train and bus station. If I visit Siracusa again, then I will stay there.

Ho soggiornato per una settimana intera all'inizio di Settembre presso Villa Giulia e sono rimasto soddisfatto. Con la mia compagna abbiamo riservato una camera superior posizionata su 2 piani di una porzione di un caseggiato rurale. Pulizia ottima di entrambi i vani così come encomiabile la cura dei servizi ed i regolari cambi di biancheria, fra l'altro di un profumo e di una morbidezza che non riscontravo da anni. Punto stra-top le colazioni : tutto prodotto a Km 0 la qualità riscontrata soprattutto nei dolci e la gentilezza del personale merita un'ulteriore prenotazione vacanza. Parti comuni quali giardini, club house e complesso rurale tenuto in maniera impeccabile. Piscina di dimensioni ampie ben attrezzata. Ristorazione serale testata per due sere, molto buona prezzi in linea con la ristorazione della adiacente Marzamemi (100/110 euro a coppia su 2 portate). Unico neo non imputabile direttamente alla Direzione di Villa Giulia ma in qualche modo da segnalare, i vicini ai confini della struttura che alle 6,45 (di mattina) iniziano il movimento terra con ruspa, fresa e flessibile e che al pomeriggio incuranti degli ospiti in piscina hanno reso il riposo/lettura impossibile causa rumore costante e sollevamento di terra/polvere paragonabile solo ai fumi che ricordo dei concerti dei Rockets a fine anni '70. Sperando che il prossimo anno abbiano terminato di estirpare gli ulivi, le palme, le buganville e finito il muretto di confine, mi piacerebbe tornare.

We first visited Modica Palace Hotel last summer and loved it so much we decided to return. We soon found that things had dramatically changed. We were old the hotel had changed hands. Skeleton staff, dinner that used to be amazing but now on a set menu that never changes so for us with the half board would have meant eating the same things for a week. The staff tried to help but we were not enjoying our meals at all. There were only 4 people dining in the restaurant each night whereas last year it was always full and despite this we had to wait for hours to be served. On more than one occasion our food did not arrive as ordered and we sent it back. On our last night I ordered a steak well done and I received it rare at which point we just got up and left. It is obvious that there are issues at management level, cost cuts is the one standing out but what was unacceptable was the Manager's behaviour. When we asked for a refund on our meal he got angry and his behaviour was quite aggressive, he told us there were no problems with the hotel and the reviews were good. He was not interested in listening to our feedback and he just left while we were talking and slammed the door on us. If I was the owner of this business I would be worried. A good manager always tries to accommodate customers and listen to their issues even act out on them so that customers do actually go back. I have recommended this hotel to so many people but will no longer do that and definitely will not return. It's such a shame.

Ottima posizione e rapporto qualità prezzo buono. Personale gentile e accogliente. Camera pulita e spaziosa. Possibilità di parcheggio nei pressi dell'hotel e, nel caso non si trovasse posto, anche a pagamento. Colazione nella norma. Presente il ristorante. Se si è stanchi è comodo poter cenare in hotel ma è da migliorare l'offerta del ristorante che sembra più orientata nel soddisfare le esigenze di gruppi o comitive piuttosto che di singoli clienti. Comunque struttura consigliatissima.

Absolutely top notch. My husband and I first came to Ragusa 12 years ago. Much has changed but thankfully much has stayed the same in the town. We were happy to discover Itria Palace when we were planning our itinerary. We stayed in a family room that consisted of two rooms, three beds and two showers. The room was accessible by stairs or lift. It was quiet, clean, super comfortable bed and pillows with very cold air conditioning. Breakfast in the morning was delightful featuring plenty of the usual Italian standards but also included local offerings which were delicious. A member of staff was on hand to prepare caffe and cappuccino for guests. We will absolutely return!
