"Really nice hotel,staff helpful with very good English language,which was handy as my Italian is minimal,food good,room spacious and well maintained,pool and pool bar lovely Think hotel could do with a gym,and an indoor bar,and a bit more storage space in room,as after my wife had put her clothes in wardrobe/drawers,there was no space available for mine,but these didn’t spoil our stay,and would certainly return again."

"Rooms at the Masseria are beautifully decorated and have everything you could need including a kitchenette and outdoor garden seating area. The bed was very comfortable, the shower pressure and temperature were perfect. Breakfast every morning was lovely with traditional Italian pastries, cheeses, yogourt, fresh fruit and a warm egg dish. Espresso coffees included. The staff was welcoming and took pride in their property. The grounds are well manicured and kept immaculately clean. The pool area is inviting with multiple cushioned lounge chairs. Bicycles are available onsite for free. The Masseria is conveniently located to some of the most beautiful sites in Puglia including: Otranto, Torre dell Orso and Lecce. It is also only a couple of kilometres from the small village of Borgagne. We a found large grocery store (Eurospin) in the town of Melendugno (9KM). Note that the property is gated, be sure to connect with the owners ahead of your arrival to ensure smooth entry, once you are checked in they will give you a remote to open the gate. Do not hesitate to book this place you will be happy you did."

"This was the first of our 6 stays in Puglia on a 2 week tour, we stayed here for 3 nights. Very peaceful setting with lovely pool area which has a covered area to escape the direct sun. Pool & surrounding areas clean and well maintained. Rooms spacious with comfy bed and a spotlessly clean bathroom. Breakfast was superb, good variety of choices with something different every day, homemade cakes a real delight. Whilst we were there we had the option to take a 4 course dinner cooked by Nonna which was fabulous and very good value, everything homemade including the Orecchiette which we saw her making in the morning. Well located for a short trip (10 mins) across to Torre Dell'Orso or Torre Sant'Andrea for closest beaches, Otranto 20 minutes, Lecce 25 minutes."

"Our stay completely exceeded our expectations. The masseria is a true oasis of peace and tranquility. We stayed here with our toddler, and it is an absolutely perfect place for a family. Antonio and Alessandra were amazing hosts, always making sure we had everything we needed. Antonio literally knows every corner of Salento. For every day trip we took, he gave us the best recommendations, from sights and parking tips to the finest restaurants, authentic gelaterias, and great spots for an aperitivo. Both hosts were incredibly friendly, and they made us feel right at home. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday."

"We paid for 11 nights, 15-26 September in advance but only stayed for two nights from 15-18 September. It was not the retreat or relaxing luxury break the hotel website led us to believe we would enjoy given it boasted elegant and stylish facilities, its own private beach and invited guests to enjoy being indulged and pampered in its spa. When we arrived, we were informed that the beach club had closed for the season. We had selected this hotel because of its luxury facilities and location on the beach. As the weather in September is usually still very nice, we thought the fact the hotel had its own beach restaurant and beach was a big attraction. To be advised that we could not even visit the beach restaurant for lunch was a huge disappointment and not flagged at the time of booking. We consider that if key facilities are not to be available during certain times of the year and will adversely impact a booked stay this should be made clear in advance - not after you arrive after travelling some distance to get there. We recognise the hotel can’t be held responsible for the unseasonably poor weather we experienced and understand that three beach itself was not able to be used. However, we were led to believe the beach club was near to the hotel but it is not and is some distance away, which is also not made clear on the website, which gives the impression everything is on site. The advertising and hotel website depicts tranquil beaches and the rolling greens of the golf course but also do not show that the main road into San Foca runs directly in front of the hotel between the hotel and the beach, therefore Seaview rooms are subject to significant noise from the road. The hotel is just not geared up for poor or mixed weather during the day, which given the facilities it boasted it should be. The only place to relax during the day is the Spa, which needs to be pre-booked one day in advance and then can only be used for 90 minutes. Also, the limited sun loungers around the pool also require pre-booking, which make spending your days here is anything but indulgent or relaxing. We made a choice to leave to salvage our holiday. Our advice stay away."

"We made a last-minute decision to stay at Borgo Sentinella, mainly to escape the heat of Lecce, and we’re so glad we did. Only a standard room was available, which was fairly basic but perfectly comfortable and met our needs. The real highlight for us was the pool area — peaceful, relaxing and exactly what we were looking for. The whole place had a lovely quiet atmosphere and was ideal for switching off for a couple of days. Food options on-site were a little limited, but there are several restaurants close by, so this wasn’t really an issue. All of the staff were great — friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay."

"We stayed at this establishment for a week. The location is excellent, and the reception staff were friendly; they waited for us despite our late arrival. However, we were very disappointed on several points: First, the room is small (especially the bathroom) and very poorly soundproofed: you can hear everything and are woken up very early by the noise (7 am). Furthermore, we were very disappointed that, during our week-long stay at the same establishment, NO cleaning was done in our room, especially regarding the change of sheets and towels. Only one roll of toilet paper… and sand everywhere. Sounds dreamy, doesn't it? Second, the breakfast was more than disappointing, with very little choice and pre-packaged pastries (see photo). Moreover, there's a fifty-fifty chance that the people before you haven't eaten everything."
