"We came up Oct 9, the height of fall foliage season, for a 90th bday at Sunapee Oct 10. We were the ONLY guests. That should have been a tip off. Odd, we felt because folks love the fall in New England. Stan said there was an upcoming wedding. Our room was changed from the original one booked. I fo r got the reason. Luckily we planned a stay for 1 night . I held off writing this review after reading so many terrific remarks. Bottom line- the inn needs attention. We had no heat. We managed but chilly temperatures plus no heat! You would have expected the host to have checked things before our arrival. We were told that the radiators needed to be bled or something like that. Its not uncommon to have wide temperature swings these days and fall can be chilly sometimes. Even breakfast was disappointing. Omelets were so so and muffin tasted like rubber. We have NEVER had a breakfast in a country inn as poor as this. Finally there was NO gesture to say can I reimburse you for X amount for staying without heat. Please accept my apologies. My advice is GO in person and look at this BnB. If you plan a wedding go and eat there. Inspect the rooms. You will see for yourself that you may be better served staying in a nearby town rather than here."

Second, the clean, quiet, calm small lake it sits on with every personal watercraft possible available. Third, the comfortable, pretty and well-maintained rooms with views. Fourth, the common area with shared kitchen, sitting area and games parlor. Fifth, the eclectic and fun decorations - antique statuettes, modern and antique paintings. The inn is in the middle of a beautiful section of NH near Mt. Kearsarge with nearby golf courses, hiking, pubs, restaurants and shopping."
