Black Bull Inn, Moffat ★★★★

"We stopped in as the kids were hungry. We only wanted a light meal so me and my husband opted for the loaded Mac & cheese fries. When they arrived they were cold and the Mac & cheese was very bland. The kids seemed happy with their food. We were sitting next to the kitchen and a front of house member went straight to the kitchen as soon as the bell went so thinking it had maybe been plated and sitting under the heat lamp as ours came, then the side, then my daughter's a few moments later. There was no call back to our table. I did mention about our food being cold and the member of staff said they would say to the kitchen but we didn't even get an apology. We were really disappointed as we have heard really good things about here and was even recommended by family but this being the outcome of our first visit makes us not want to return unfortunately."

The Famous Star Hotel Moffat ★★★

"A pleasant Hotel centrally located in the town . The rooms have all necessary amenities and clean. The beds could do with plumper pillows though. Breakfast is payable separately and was filling and freshly cooked to order. The bar prices were very reasonable"
