"The highlight of our stay at the Hotel Rosenmeer was breakfast. There is only a small buffet with musli, sweet lifts and juice, otherwise a breakfast on a floor and fresh egg food for choice. The rooster was really excellent and one of the best we ever got in a hotel. The other ingredients were also of good quality and the selection and quantity of sauce, cheese, salmon, etc. on the floor was more than enough. You can get quite good filter coffee, but also others such as Latte Macchiato etc. a la Card and not from the self-service machine. We had received a room upgrade to a suite, as we noticed when we arrived there. This was in 2. OG under the roof and rather a kind of apartment with kitchen, household room with washing machine and dryer, living and dining room and bedroom. The facility has made some of the impression a little slightly convulsed. In the bedroom there was a completely meaningless sofa that was not useful because it was completely covered with huge kitchens. No idea what that should be! The suite appears to have been no longer used. It wasn't quite clean and you could have been aired or the air conditioning was switched on. The days before it was very warm and when we arrived the air was very stiff and warm in the rooms under the roof. The air conditioning has taken almost the whole night to reach a rather pleasant temperature. If you are not so good to walk, pay attention to booking the rooms - there is no chair in the house! 2 of the suites are in the second OG. It is positive to point out here that we have been helped carry the bag. Some of the rooms are in the subterrain."

"Overall the property is adequate as a business base for a short trip. Modern, conveniently located, spacious and reasonably appointed, it is functional rather than comfortable. My key worry was that I found two cockroaches in my room, which made me uncomfortable and concerned about the deep cleanliness of the room. Superficially it looked fine. I've reported it but got a bland acknowledgement which seemed to underplayed the significance of the insects."

The hotel is located in the Monchengladbacher district of Hardt, about 6 km outside the city centre, the journey to the city centre or to Rheydt can only be made by taxi or bus, which is close to the hotel. For this location the room price is too high and cannot be justified by the "near" to Düsseldorf or Cologne. The room was a little older, but maintained and appropriate.
