Belas Vistas Hotel ★★★

"The Belas Vistas Hotel is a modern property located on the "lake" shore. Most (if not all) rooms offer a view onto the lake and countryside, beyond. A very useful and recent addition to the hotel is their restaurant at which we dined both nights. A good menu selection offered, but alas, NOT in English. We received some help in navigating this from the bar staff, whose English was very patchy. The "go to" back-up language appeared to be French. Our "Panoramic Double Room" was huge and fabulous. Absolutely no quibbles nor complaints here. The breakfast buffer was good, though perhaps more local produce and specialities could be offered? There is a pool. We did not get to use this during our stay as the weather was poor. There is free off road parking at the property. A good base if you are visiting the Montalegre area. A visit to Montalegre is a must if you are staying here - in particular the museum located near the lower entrance to the Castile."
