"We came across this hotel at the last minute after being disappointed with other accommodation we had booked. So we travelled to the hotel to check it out and immediately saw that it would make our last three days in Tuscany memorable and booked the only available room there and then starting that night. Francesca is a wonderful host making us feel very welcome and with excellent recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting. Perhaps some of the electrical and bathroom fixtures and fittings are in need of some attention but these small issues are easily overlooked because of the gorgeous rooms and communal areas including a very nice loft area to relax with lovely views. Breakfast was another highlight, cereals, yoghurt, breads, meat, cheese, eggs and especially a large variety of home made cakes. Montecarlo is a very pretty small village in the heart of a wine growing region with several very good restaurants, a tourist information office and a few nice shops. We plan to return."

"I stayed there for a few days with my daughter in a room above the restaurant. In addition to the noise from the street, you also have the noise from the restaurant in the evening, so not ideal with children. The bathroom had a leaking tap and was not very clean. The room was quite spacious. The breakfast was not that extensive and was somewhat disappointing. They also have a swimming pool that was very popular. The food in the restaurant is quite tasty, but it only opens at 8pm. There is nothing available in the agriturismo, which is a bit strange... I expected more and was therefore a bit disappointed."
