"The Villa Sassolini is an country house, steeped in history, renovated and decorated with exquisite taste by the owner, M. Tani. The house is located in a tiny village in the Tuscan hills, far from the crowds or either Florence or Siena, yet within comfortable distance for visits. The bedroom in which we stayed was fabulous, the gardens are lovely and both breakfast and fantastic dinner are served by the swimming pool. The staff are not only professional, but kind and welcoming."

"It is good to return to the places of childhood holidays and even more to recover its roots. At the exhibition of the designs of my grandfather Marino Paris, originating in Montevarchi, we had to find a double (for me and my husband) and a single (for my mother) by the end of August. Extremely comfortable location on one of the main streets but near the historic center, gentleness and courtesy of the owners that in the absence of the reserved parking (for renovation works) We were able to leave the car in front of the entrance. Beautiful, spacious and comfortable rooms, comfortable and well equipped bathrooms (including the single, really great!!). A very good price-quality ratio, that is, a good surprise and a place to remember for the next "return to origins"!"

"What a beautiful location! Ideally situated to visit all areas across Tuscany/Chianti region. We took a road trip to Siena and San Gimignano, and a train from Montevarchi to Florence. Parking was easy to find both on the trips and also at the train station. Train wasn’t too expensive and we bought a same day return at the station. Everything was so clean, and extremely efficient. We took the scenic route on the way to Florence and the fast track for the return journey. At the accommodation Nico was extremely welcoming and was always available to answer the “tourist” questions. Nothing was too much trouble…. Breakfast was simple yet very moreish with the most delightful pastries! It was also very intimate with the ability to catch up with other guests regarding their experiences and recommendations. We would wholeheartedly recommend if you opt to self drive. We will definitely return!"
