Scenic River Inn Wartburg Hwy 27

"After looking for hotels close to the prison. I called the hotel to reserve a room. They say text this number and we can reserve a room. Setup with a text to the owner over 3 months ahead. 2 months ahead I verified I had a king bed w cable tv, micro, fridge. Day of the stay texted to see when check in was able... who is this? Do you have a reservation? Says the hotel is full from online orders and only has a room for us to "look at"... we get there the room smells moldy and just nasty. Took payment and then we went to disinfect it. The towels are 3 different shades of dirty white. The roaches began scattering. We left for dinner immediately and put our things back in the car. I come back to the door to our room is open, the bed is made up again with the nasty sheets, my beer is now in their office as I find out when I go to the office to find out why my personal belongings are now missing. The only thing he says is you signed for the room. Before the roaches were discovered! This place is a joke and a scam as I have found out further. I would not waste your time trying it there are many nicer clean places nearby"
