"From LA to SF, heading north from Highway 1, I chose to stay in Morro Bay on the first night. I am very glad that I carefully selected and booked this hotel. This may be the best hotel in the surrounding area, equivalent to the domestic four-star standard. It is very new and deserves to be opened in 2023! All the facilities are great, clean, simple and stylish. The bedding, tables, chairs, and bathrooms in the room are clean and comfortable. Every guest staying in the room can enjoy a rich American breakfast on the first floor (unlimited number of people, no voucher required), with a rich variety of choices, exquisite ingredients, and good taste! There is unlimited coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate and other drinks available for self-service in the lobby on the first floor all day, and there are ice machines on each floor. If you need boiled water, you can fill it in the self-service beverage area, or ask the hotel to provide a drying kettle to take water to the room (the hotel does not provide electric kettles or thermos bottles). This is a great accommodation experience. If you have friends who travel by car, I will definitely recommend it. This hotel is the best! Great! Great! Hygiene: very clean and sanitary Facilities: all brand new Environment: comfortable, simple and stylish Service: responsive and enthusiastic❤️"

"This historic inn was recently designed by a local family and saves a historic building. The location is great. We were able to walk downtown and the Embarcadero easily. (There is a slight hill down to Embarcadero Street area.) This inn doesn't have a traditional front desk instead you use a code to enter (be sure they have your email). There was local staff that responded quickly to any issues. The enclosed patio with fire pit expanded the room area. The room was not huge but the design made it very adequate (great rainfall shower). The central hallway had drawings and explained the history of the building. In WWII this was a hanger and an airplane was in this building. The remodel is so well done it takes imagination to visualize that."

"The remodel was a big improvement by making it more modern and stylish. The shower was a bit too retro, where a step in shower would have been a big improvement. The automatic bathroom light coming on as you entered at 2:00 am was something out of a horror movie. My wife used 3 sheets of toilet paper and a band aid to keep the light off. My wife would have preferred a bar of soap to the liquid dispenser."

"It's a motel, the windows face the hallway, and it's ridiculously expensive. You can see the Morok Rock just by opening the doors and windows and going up into the hallway. Honestly, there's absolutely no need to stop at this spot on California's Highway 1."

"This was the worst hotel I've stayed at in this price range during my California Highway 1 road trip! The bedding was pitch black and extremely unclean!!! When I opened the blanket, there were five or six hairs in two different areas!!! Being traveling and facing language barriers, I was too lazy to argue! I just made do for one night! I hope everyone avoids this place!"
