HHarimauHutanWe had such a lovely stay at Villa Shion Biei. It’s not a hotel, but a beautiful private house, which made the whole experience feel extra cozy and special. The villa was clean, spacious, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The surroundings were stunning, especially with all the snow. It felt like staying in a peaceful winter wonderland, and we had so much fun playing in the snow right outside the house. Everything was well-prepared, and the stay felt very private and homely.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to enjoy the snow and nature in Biei.
SSimchong4th night hotel, Sado Japanese Inn, too late to book a room, can only book a more partial place, located next to the sky, the hotel is by the river, the mountain pass fresh air, rooms are unified room type, although the place is remote, but many people stay, indoor and outdoor hot springs, dinner and breakfast general, but a surprise is horse meat sashimi
RRebecca15-20 mins walk to Asahidake ropeway.
Self catering with lots of space and utensils to cook.
Lots of fridge and freezer space. We brought food in advance but they do have things there you can buy like Tinned fish, pasta, tinned veg, frozen veg, frozen meats, various snacks and drinks etc.
It was kept super clean.
The insen was great with an outdoor pool.
Rooms were quite basic but were clean and comfortable.
Staff were very helpful too !!
There's coin laundry which we needed.
Also a table tennis table which was a nice addition!
KKobe FukaeThe hotel description did not capture the situation enough. I was confused due to lack of room pictures. They also posted several listing for different rooms under different hotel name section. But this room is perfect for us. The location is a bit far (if you are not used to walking) from the station but it is only around 7-9 minutes walking. The surrounding area is a quiet neighborhood. The building is new and very clean. It was also warm inside even when the weather forecast said -14 celcius outside. The japanese food they served was also very good. They provided free coffee/tea and water in common area. They also let us lent their microwave. The bathroom is only one but very clean and comfy. The room has its own mini fridge, ac, and tv. If you are wondering where to stay in Biei, I definitely recommend this place.
