"Set in a vast beautiful forest at the top of the valley above Munster, Alsace in France this property is a hidden gem that we came across by chance when searching for an overnight stay to break up our trip from Germany back to the UK. We booked one of their family cabins (travelling was myself, my wife and our 2-year old), which from the photos looked absolutely amazing and did not disappoint when we arrived. The craftsmanship and thought that has gone into the design of these "treehouse cabins on stilts" is exceptional, from the panoramic lounge with views of the forest and valley below to the compact but functional kitchen, everything impressed us. We travelled in the latter half of November (if you are travelling between November - March, make sure you either have winter tyres or are carrying snow chains/socks for your vehicle as this is now a legal requirement in the mountain region of Alsace) and the weather was cold but mostly dry and we were treated to snowfall on our second day which added even more magic to the location. The price we paid was excellent value for money, I suspect the time of year we travelled played a part in this but as a new property (it only opened in April and construction in some areas is still ongoing) I imagine as it's popularity increases so will the prices but it was very reasonable. The cabin was spotless and on our first night we were the only residents in the cabin/eco-lodge part of the forest so it was peaceful and quiet and even after other guests arrived you are well spaced out so noise certainly wouldn't be a problem here. The woman on reception (I forgot to ask her name) was extremely friendly and helpful despite our limited French conversation skills, and walked us down to the cabin and gave us a tour to help us settle in. We throughly enjoyed our stay and enjoyed day trips to Colmar and Riquewihr which are all within easy reach. Our journey home over the mountain pass was extra special as the snow was thick (but the road clear) and our little boy enjoyed his first snow experience which was a bonus. We look forward to returning again soon."

"I was in the Vosges for cycling and stayed a night in this hotel. The staff and the atmosphere was lovely, the rooms were clean and quiet, and they have a beautiful garden for relaxing. Parking is simple, and several climbs start nearby. Good take-away food 300 m from the hotel."

Has a restaurant on the spot with decent regional food and friendly staff. Ancient historical hotel which has been updated."
